Mr.Ashok Kumar , the leading technocrat, the Solar Giant has successfully made a
completion of his Mechanical Engineering in Guindy Engineering College in 1984, later his
MS in IIT Chennai.
His passion for solar was not developed in a day but right from his student hood for
which he was a recipient of national award honored by the Solar Energy Society of
India. It was owners pride to Tamilnadu when the Indian Express admired his quality in 1990
and published that It was a unique honor for a young man in just 20s. Simultaneously,
a great honor was it, to the solar society, when he was elected as the Consultant for the Solar
projects of the Andhra Pradesh Government.
His technology adventures and inventions was recognized by Eastern and Western
countries. He was invited by a South Korea as a channel partner for the module manufacturing
plant which has successfully helped him to bring a KCP KOREA branch office with Kang
Hoon the President of the company. This helped him to enter various countries on technology
visits. It was a honor when he was invited by a German team for an installation of 4MW of
solar power plant. This has encouraged his frequent visits to Spain, Austria and various other
countries and he has been taken up as Sales & Service Partner by Fronius,

Germany the global leader of the inverters in an exclusive way.

The long path of the completion of 27 years as a successful solar manufacturer with his
striking brand KCP has been honored by the Tamilnadu government appointing him as the
member of TEDA Governing Body. He is also given a very responsible position as the
President of Tamilnadu Solar Energy Developer Association.

KCP SOLAR MODULE PLANT:

KCP has a capacity of 24MW module plant in Salem district in Tamilnadu. The
company imports quality Solar cells from Germany which produce direct current (DC)
power, which flexivate with the intensity of the irradiated light. It has a strong international

KCPs Solar Street Light (SSL) is green light source 40 to 70 % less power
consumption than traditional light source. Global green, Led/CFL emit no light pollution,
provides bright white light, which improves color recognition and night visibility. Its aultar-
low maintenance and long product life with 10year warranty for solar panel and 1year
warranty for total system with adequate, free Care and Service from the local stations, is a
great benefit to the customers and a top advantage from company. The installation cost is
comparatively cheap, no trenching, no heavy cable, quick and easy installations anywhere
and everywhere within just few days and no long awaited months. The advanced technology
of the control unit with low maintenances tubular battery of long life and automatic

SOLAR POWER PLANT

Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using

PhotoVoltaic or indirectly using Concentrated Solar Power (CSP). CSP systems use lenses or

mirror tracking system to focus a large area of sunlight into a small beam. As for our state the

present market of power plant is using PhotoVoltaics because this convert light into electric

current using the Photo electric effect. Concentration on the solar power plants has taken a

recent start.

The power plants are supplied from a capacity of 1KW to 500KW both individual

and industrial .1KW power Plant is integrated with 1000W of multiple solar cells which

usually requests conversion to certain derived voltages are alternating current (AC).This

requires the use of inverters. KCP solar industry is the exclusive channel partner of Fronius,

Germany the global leaders in inverters.1KW can give an output of 4000 to 5500W of current
