Chinese Union
Who we are
CU GBM
Chinese Union now has expanded to different campuses, including Santa Monica
College, San Diego State University, American Language Institute and Grossmont
College. In less than six years, we had grown into one of the largest Asian
organizations in Southern California, widely regarded as the biggest student
organization in West Coast. As a member of International Chinese United Club
(ICUC), Chinese Union has a strong bond with other members of ICUC. Until now,
we have collaborated to hold several grand events together in Southern California
and gained great reputations.

What strived our growth is our goal,

which is aiming at serving local
international student community at
our best and promoting the
development, growth and
accountability of student
organizations. Chinese Union is
officially approved by the US
government to become a nonprofit
organization (NPO) under category
501(c)(3). To further realize the
purpose of being a 501c3
organization, we keep expanding our
influence in San Diego with all our
strength and are dedicated to involve
more in charity.
For the past few years, we reached out to the incoming freshmen and created
group of over 700 members of new students each year on Wechat, a Chinese social
media app. In Summer 2015, Chinese Union Ambassadors travelled to six major
cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou to hold info sessions for new
students. Before the start of Fall quarter, we provided airport pickup services for
more than 520 new students.

Freshmen Pick Up Service

Each quarter, we organize a variety of
events for San Diego county students to
participate. Our influence in the Southern
California and our proficiency in event
planning and marketing have made our
events the most popular among the
students-held events. For instance, at the
beginning of the Fall quarter 2015, we
held a General Body Meeting that
attracted more than 800 students to
attend. Soon after, we united all schools in
ICUC to co-host a reality show called If You Transfer Workshop
Are the One. The first station, hosted by
Chinese Union, took place in the biggest
auditorium in UCSD and drew at least 500
attendances.
CU GBM
Each year, we partner with at least 50 companies and enterprises such
as JP Morgan, Chase Bank, Allstate Corporation, At&t, Milestone
Education, Hotel Sheraton, and a great number of local restaurants. Not
only does our members benefit from this, our sponsors experience
increase in sales and popularity. Throughout the partnership, we would
advertise our sponsors through different platforms.
