CONTEMPORABY RECTILINEAR DESIGN
The HPS Luminaire features modern rectilinear
design with crisp clean lines. Luminaire is at home
in either roadway or area Iighting applications.

Rugged construction
-upper and lower housings
are die-cast aluminum. Hardware of corrosion-
resistant materials. Long lasting baked-on enan'rel
finish gaves added proteciion even in highly
corrosive atmosphere. Unii is designed for efficient
operation in temperatures as low as -20oF
OPTICAL ASSEMBLY-
All new optical sysiem optimizes the lamp output
of the HPS lamp. Ref ractor is prlsmed to present
a smooth, even illumination. Reflector is molded
of tough, heat and abrasion resistant Ryton'. The
multi-faceted surface is coated with sealed vacuum
meialized ref Iective f inish.

ELECTBICAL COMPONENTS
Electrical service is easily accessible by opening
the finned rear pad with just a screwdriver The
ballast, capaciior, and starting circuit are all
mounted to this power pad, which lifts oui for
easy installation.
INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE EASE
All units are furnished with an internal four bolt
slipfitter adiustable Ior 1%" and 2" mast arm
installations. The integrally cast h inge and "one-
hand ' door latch make optical assembly easily
accessible lor relarrpinq and servicinq.

PBOTECTIVE SEALS
Reflector and refractor are qasket sealed with
polyester fiber "Breathing Seal '. This provides
a good mechanical gaskei and filters contaminants
from entering the optical system, thus reducing
maintenance costs.

Luminaire" maintains 4 times the illumination mid-
point between poles than a typical 400 wati
