The Glorious Revolution John Locke Hobbesianism

Jean-Jacques Rousseau Colonization
Lockeanism

Research Questions:
1. Who was the person who led the revolution and for what reason? What was
its significance and how did it influence England?
2. How did the revolution affect our world today? Did the revolution affect a
country like Thailand? If yes, how? If no, why didnt it?

Product Description:
We plan to write a novel on Google Docs to explain about the Glorious Revolution.
The fiction will be written from a third persons point of view throughout the whole
revolution. It will show the causes, significances, and impacts of the Glorious
Revolution and include the details and connections of our chosen historical figures
and ideologies and movements. We plan to make it easy and entertaining to
understand and read and there will be dialogue and photos. It is estimated to be
about fifteen pages long with one introduction and two chapters.

How the product demonstrates the connection between your selected topics
and the goals/essential understandings of this unit:
Writing a novel is, in our opinions, the best way of showing our understanding
since, to write one, we need to make sure that the informations that we have as
materials are well understood. After understanding them, imagination comes into the
play. We need to plot our story and imagine what will happen, what should the
person in the event think, and much more. Lastly, to express the story as a word, we
also have to make the word we use look beautiful but in the same time simple.
The novel would be focused on the revolution which used no brutality and
forces, but words and communication between the population. People in that time
interacted by communicating and agreed to make changes that would affect a larger
scale than their own country; the protestant branch of Christianity grew. This could
reflect us on our society in Thailand where Buddhism is the main religion of the
country; if there was a strong revolt enough to convince the populations majority, the
Buddhism community might be overthrown into other religion or another branch of
Buddhism.
ESLOs:
Our project relates to ESLO Strategic Learners and Innovative Thinkers. We
always reflect on what were researching and we use technology to research and
create works. We also express our creativity by choosing to write an informative
novel with fictional elements which are added to make our product interesting and
fun. It also relates to Leaders For The Future since we are working together for our
product to be successful and building teamwork. Moreover, we are using technology
which is Google Docs to work together.

VARK Learning Strategies:

Our group members have different learning styles. We research separately
and then share our ideas and knowledge together.
Pats main learning styles are visual and kinesthetic, followed by aural. He
understands better by watching videos and diagrams, and experiencing practical
exercises. Based on his style, he plans to research by finding informative videos and
study websites that have a lot of pictures. During researching basic information
about the Glorious Revolution, he found a slide presentation that contain photos and
diagrams which made him understand way easier than just reading the website he
read before.
Khings main learning strategies are aural and visual. She likes to listen and
watch videos and clips with clear audio and pictures which help her understand
better. She plans to research and gain knowledge about the topics by watching and
listening to informative videos, so she will find documentaries on YouTube with nice
audio and visual.
Mints main learning styles are read/write and visual. She prefers to read, and
then watch videos and mind maps to help her understand better. Based on her style,
she plans to research by reading information on reliable websites and then write
down what she gets from reading. If the reading is too complex and hard to
understand, she will try to find videos, mind maps, and diagrams on the Internet that
may help her understand more. She plans to read about the Glorious Revolution on
BBC.
Ings main learning style is aural. She learns best by listening to lectures,
videos, oral explanations and discussions. Based on this style, she plan to do her
research and understand the topics by listening to explanations about the topic and
discussing with group members. Same as Khing, she will listen to documentaries
about the selected topics on YouTube.
