Abstract:
was started from Europe and U.S. at the period of 1960's or 70's. Until this decade,
it arrived at Hong Kong. For these years, the academic attention about NAM
becomes more and more. However, the general evaluation about NAM is tended to
consumerism, or a small-group cult that can not do any harm. But we can not find
The Western scholars usually study the text in NAM; they seldom plan the
direct and in-depth surveys with the New Agers. So this essay will focus on the
personal interactions with those New Agers, the descriptions about joining their
activities and deep conversation with the New Agers become the main features of
this essay. The core questions of this thesis are: What is the transformation of their
life when they meet the thoughts and experiences of NAM? In their eyes, what is
the facet of NAM? Through this thesis we will understand the potential influence
