First of all, I think is a great thing to diversify our medical

sources and our perspectives in health care. This is important because

Western medicine only used to deal with isolated physical signs,
overlooking all emotionals, or even spirituals factors involved in a
disease. In other words, the relationship between thoughts, emotions
and disease has been often forgotten or misunderstood in Western
medicine. For instance, if you have a broken leg, how do your
emotions enter into that? Or if you suffer a depression, how does the
spiritual enter into the equation?

Eastern medicines can seem strange to us, and their treatments can
appear imprecise or rudimentary, or low-tech, which is the opposite of
what we
consider advanced. Massages, needles, concoction of magic
herbs
can this these/those _______ be a therapy?

In fact, medical science is a product of our culture. And our culture

has been characterized for being extremely rationalistic. For instance,
as we all know, Western culture has been predominately Christian and
Christianity is generally taught in a way that (in which) the mind-spirit
and
body are separated and that this intellectual side should 'overcome'
others ________, mainly, the physical, the instinctive and the
emotional side.

So, I think that when looking at other cultures we can see our own
more
clearly. And looking to Eastern culture, for example, we understand
a dialogical, non-hierarchical and open-minded way to look at the
world. This makes possible to approach to the reality as a space
formed by opposite yet complementary forces or dimensions. So, with
this world vision, in Eastern medicine sees (mind and body are seen as
one by Eastern medicine) mind and body as one while
in Western mind and body are split, they are two separates entities.

Personally, I see a connection between mind and body, and I think that
the effectiveness of a treatment is determined by the patients mental
attitude towards it. Without patient's positive mental attitude
(paraphrase this attitude/ this positive attitude) (the treatment would
be useless)
towards treatment, it would be useless. In conclusin, according to my
point of view, complementary forms of medicine (western and
homeopathic types of medicines) and patients willpower are
necessary
to achieve complete healing and well being.
