Speed networking was a very good idea!

The conference was impressive and brought together a wide variety of service providers from across
the world. It was really interesting to see the different emerging technologies that will assist the MPS
Lieutenant-Colonel Gonzague Montmorency, Chef du bureau de la prospective radio SDR position itself in readiness for the future. I think the speed networking events were very useful, where
you could spend a couple of minutes seeing the person you were talking with had anything useful to

AN INTRODUCTION TO
MISSION CRITICAL LTE
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a
broadband mobile network technology
that is deployed by more than 450
mobile operators around the world.
The public safety and mission
critical users and operators have
adopted LTE for their next generation
broadband technology. 3GPP, the
LTE standardisation organisation,
has created a dedicated working
group for mission-critical
standardisation, which is currently
standardising a set of features for
mission-critical users.
This seminar is intended as an
introduction for those who are new
to LTE and Mission-Critical-LTE (MC-
LTE) and will give a brief overview of
the LTE technology with focus on the
mission-critical features like mission-
critical push-to-talk (MCPTT).
It will provide up-to-date information
on the status of the standardisation
work. The speakers are senior
experts who are closely working with
the technology, several of the them
are involved in the creation of the
MC-LTE standards itself.

My first Critical Communications World experience of
which I found to be invaluable. Heathrows future critical
communications strategy is aligned with the industry and this
gives me peace of mind and confidence.
It was difficult to get around all the diverse exhibitors and
the demonstrations in the 2 days, given that in parallel many
workshops and presentations were taking place, so much to
choose from!
The new streams have identified some areas in my current
radio upgrade project that require some new thinking and
fleshing out.
I will return to CCW 2017 in Hong Kong next year, Emma and the
team ensured that the event ran smoothly and my experience
was first rate highly recommended.
