Central Maintenance Schedule

HEATING AND COOLING


chiller and boiler:
sanctuary + parish house = boiler (button on back of sanctuary wall overrides
program: turns on blowers and opens valve to get heat; 1 push = 2 hours)
2nd floor = chiller
boilers: replaced with hot water heaters fall 2007?

forced air (heat and cool by programmable thermostat)


community room = forced air
offices = forced air (2005 replaced on roof above AJDs office)
lower level classrooms = forced air (furnace is in room with organ blower)
chapel = forced air (east and west unit on roof and in crawl space; condensing unit
on roof)
chapel temperature: set east unit 2 degrees lower than west unit for noise reduction
(crawl space unit is very noisy because of reverberation)

OUTSIDE GROUNDS
mow grass (from 4th to 3rd)
keep weeds down on parking lot from 4th to 3rd
stripe parking lot 2002? Louisville Asphalt?
keep snow plowing contract up to date (November of each year)
keep ivy trimmed off of building
weed planted areas
In October stock up on ice melt; make sure we have shovels for all doors; a 5-gallon
bucket for each door with ice melt in it; a scoop for each bucket;

ROOF
patch roof places that leak periodically (around fixtures on flat room
above offices; on flat roof above Kentucky street portico) (how often?)
clear leaves from the Kentucky Street porch rain in the fall so roof doesnt leak

PAINTING
paint (how often? Ceecee Solomon says there is no schedule just pay attention to
use and dirt)
interior:
chapel: (prior to 1996 mid-1980s when office complex renovated?)
sanctuary: 1996
exterior doors:
exterior trim: (painted sometime around the a/c of the sanctuary 2001?)

pour a gallon or so of water into floor drains when sewer gas smell is noticeable

emergency lights recharge (hard-wired); check power source regularly; check for
bulbs burned out: text every 2 months

smoke detector batteries: change 2x/year (day light savings time start and end)
locations: lower level classrooms;

ELECTRONICS
Night Audio repaired wireless lavaliers; system is good; we have:
o 1 hand-held (vocalist hold close to mouth)
o 2 hand-helds (speaking not so close to mouth)
o 2 lavaliers
