Owl
Owls are unique and amazing birds. They are heavy birds and have large heads and
round or oval face. Owls have round eyes. Their eyes are large and are locked in the
skull. It means the eyes cannot rotate independently.
They are typically solitary. Though owls are typically solitary, they also live in group of
owls; that is a parliament. They can be found in all regions of the Earth except
Antarctica and some remote islands.
Most owls are nocturnal. They hunt their prey only in darkness especially in the night.
While all birds have good senses, owls have especially hearing that can help them
locate the prey in poor light or complete dark. Owls hunt mostly small mammals, insects
and other birds.

ELEPHANT
An elephant is the largest and strongest of all animals. It is a strange looking animal
with its thick legs, huge sides and backs, large hanging ears, a small tail, little eyes,
long white tusks and above all it has a long nose, the trunk.

The trunk is the elephant's peculiar feature, and it has various uses. The elephant draws
up water by its trunk and can squirt it all over its body like a shower bath. It can also lift
leaves and puts them, into its mouth. In fact the trunk serves the elephant as a long arm
and hand. An elephant looks very-clumsy and heavy and yet it can move very quickly.

The elephant is a very intelligent animal. Its intelligence combined with its great strength
makes it a very useful servant to man and it can be trained to serve in various ways
such as carry heavy loads, hunt for tigers and even fight.

New York (City), the largest city in the United State, the home of the united nations, and
the center of global finance, communications, and business. New York City is unusual
among cities because of its high residential density, its extraordinary diverse

on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. It was designed by French sculptor Frederic-
Auguste Bartholdi and is a gift from France commemorating the first centennial of U.S.
independence from Britain.

New Yorks 250 museums cater to every taste . It has museums in such fields as
natural history, broadcasting, fire-fighting, crafts , and ethnic cultures. As the words
greatest art center, New York City has more than 400 galleries and is a mecca for artist,
art dealers, and collections. Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Street is the most
important locale for galleries, but of others are located in So Ho (South Of Houston
Street) and adjoining Neighborhoods.
New York also has a famous botanical garden. It is called Brooklyn Botanic Garden, 21
hectare (52 acre) botanic garden, located in the borough of Brooklyn, in New York City.
