General overview of EGSO events
Tailgate homebrew festival; September 9th at 1pm outside the Sword/biocontrol lab with BBQ
provided by the EGSO. Please bring a side. Home brew tasting is $5 and RSVP is required.
Tailgate; October 7th (time TBD) outside the Sword/biocontrol lab with BBQ provided by the
EGSO. Please bring a side.
Fall picnic; October 21st at 11am (location TBD). Family friendly event, main dish provided by
the Department of Entomology. Please bring a side. RSVP required.

Community Outreach Chair - Ryan

Outreach Events are a great way to get involved with the community and bridge the gap between
the community and Entomological knowledge
These events are a great way to not only build your CV/Resume, but also to build and recruit
potential future entomologists
Reminders for future events will be on our Facebook page, email listserv, and the website

Seminar Coordinator - Zach

Pizza lunches are an informal opportunity to talk with our weekly seminar speaker without
professors and postdocs dominating the conversation and are an invaluable experience for your
learning, networking, and career development
Pizza lunches start September 7th - schedule of pizza lunches will go out with times and locations
Food accommodations will be made

Aggie Women in Entomology (AWE)

General meetings are held once per semester
Invited guest speaker on October 19th with happy hour conjoined with WISE
Opportunities in mentorship
