I, RESLEY E. MIGUEL, of legal age, Filipino citizen and a resident of Brgy.

Medina, Dingras, Ilocos Norte, after having been duly sworn to in accordance with law,
do hereby freely and voluntarily submit myself for an examination by LOVELY
ABADILLA, a lawyer and an associate attorney of BALINTONA BARENG & CORPUZ
LAW OFFICES with office address at 3rd Floor, N. Corpuz Bldg., Paco Roman St., Laoag
City, and having said these, I have answered all the questions propounded unto us with our
full understanding and awareness that we are under oath and that we may face criminal
liability for false testimony or perjury.

SWORN STATEMENT OF RESLEY E. MIGUEL TAKEN ON _________ IN THE

PRESENCE OF ATTY. LOVELY ABADILLA

The testimony of the witness shall be offered to prove the allegations in the complaint
and to identify certain documents relative to the same complaint.

Q1: Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth in this statement that
you are about to make?

Q2: Please state your name and personal circumstances.

 A2: I am Resley and I personally know Marvin G. Miguel since we
live in the same house located at Brgy. Medina, Dingras,
Ilocos Norte and that he is the brother of my wife, Edzel G.
Miguel

Q3: Do you remember where you were at around 11 oclock in the evening of
January 23, 2017?

A3: I just arrived at our house together with my wife who just fetched me after
my work at Franks Burger located at Albano, Dingras Ilocos Norte,
maam.

Q4: What did you notice, if theres any, when you just got inside the house?

A4: We saw Marvin lying in the living room (sala) and he was asleep, maam.

Q5: How did you know that it was him?

- Kasanom ammo nga isuna dijay?

A5: The fluorescent lamp was turned on at the time, maam and I was able to
clearly see his face just before my wife and I went inside our room.

A6: Nothing unusual maam.

Q7: What did you do next?

 A7: My wife and I went inside our room to sleep, maam.

Q8: How was your sleep?

A8: A few hours into our sleep, we were disturbed by a certain noise and then
when my wife and I went out to check what was happening, we saw Edmond
Miguel, Melanie Miguel and my brother in law, Marvin in the living room.

Q9: What transpired next?

A9: Few minutes later, I saw some police officers dragging Marvin out of the
house. When I asked them why they are arresting him, the police officers
remained unresponsive and brought Marvin inside the patrol car.

A10: Yes, maam.

Q11: So what did you do?

-ana ngarod inubram?

A11: Since my wife and I were puzzled and worried about the arrest of my
brother-in-law, we decided to go to the police station where Marvin was
brough in. We rode our tricycle to get to the police station of Dingras.

Q12 : Did you see Marvin when you got there?

A12: Yes, maam. We were surprised.

Q13: Why were you surprised?

-Apay kayo nakigtot?

A13: We were surprised because when we saw him, his face was
bloodied and badly swollen. His face was totally different and free from any
injury when I glanced at his face while he was asleep that night as well as when
he left the house together with the police officers.

Q14: What did you do then?

A14: My wife,Edzel, asked him why his face was like that all of a sudden,and Marvin
replied that he was beaten up by some police officers, namely SPO1
CARABALLA, PO2 MARK MIGUEL, SPO3 BELONG and others who
he does not know by name but he can readily recognize when he sees them
again face to face.

Q15: Did your brother-in-law say anything else?

A15: He told us that he begged the police officers not to hurt him but nevertheless,
they assaulted him.

Q16: So after your brother-in-law told you everything that had happened, what did
you do next?

A16: My wife took a photo of his face using her cellphone, which photo is attached
in this judicial affidavit as annexed A
