JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Responsibilities:

Assists the Chief Legal Officer in all assessing legal issues referred to the Legal Department.

Ensures oversight of corporate filing compliance with the SEC, BIR, DTI and other government agencies.

Assists the Corporate Counsels and Finance Dept. in interfacing with BIR-Poro and BIR-Rizal in cases of issuance of letters of examination
(LOA), and coordinate with the external tax lawyers.

Assists the Corporate Counsels in all BIR-related transactions (payment of capital gains tax, documentary stamp tax, real estate tax, etc.)

Assists the Corporate Counsels in implementing the tax incentives of the operating companies under PEZA, PAGCOR, BCDA-PPMC and
exploring other opportunities for enjoyment of tax incentives.

Drafts pleadings and other papers for filing in Court and Administrative bodies.

Attends hearings and represent the Company in cases involving the Company, its affiliates and subsidiaries.

Drafts/reviews contracts, correspondences, and all other legal documents referred to the Legal Department.

Coordinates with external legal counsels on assigned tasks.

Provides notarial services to the company and its subsidiaries/affiliates.

Attends any and all meetings wherein legal assistance is required.

Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all and promotes positive relations through an environment that encourages open
communication, trust and mutual respect.

Qualifications:

With at least 2 years experience as Associate Lawyer

With a background in corporate maintenance and regulatory compliance, permits and licenses, and processes in government offices

Bachelors Degree in Law

Must be admitted to and maintains good standing with the Philippine Bar

Leadership management skills

Excellent PR and communication skills

Highly systematic

Trustworthy

Discretion with confidential information
