Chapter 1: Overview
General
The pneumatic Lock & Cylinder machine is a punching machine that
perforates both vertical & horizontal axis in one single action. It is used to
perforate slots in doors, for their lock mechanisms. The special clamping
system ensures cleanly cut perforations.

The machine is supplied with mandrels and under plates to suit various
profiles. The under plates are used to adjust the profile’s height.

Round handles which can be pulled out allow the user to neutralize one or
both horizontal movement, according to needs.

The machine is operated by a manual air valve; while the operator’s other
hand holds the profile in position.

The machine is a ‘bench’ type. For the convenience of operating the

machine in the workshop, a centre pivot on the bench is provided to
manually rotate the machine by 360 deg.

Technical data

Height 600 mm.

Weight: 117 Kg

Standard equipment includes Air Control Center (on the work bench) with a

Chapter 2: Getting Started

Settings
No setting is needed. The machine is set already, for the various profiles. If
the need to reset the machine arises, please contact our technical service
team.

Installation
Install the machine on the Work Bench

• With the special “steel bench”, the machine does not need to be
connected to the bench by bolts. It is set on a pivot, and being
manually pushed, it can swivel on the center pivot to allow convenient
operation.

• With other solid workbenches the machine must be connected to the

base plate by 4 bolts.

The machine airline should not obstruct movement of workers. Also, allow
ample space around the machine according the size of the profiles being
punched.

Chapter 3: Operation Instructions

Operation
Initial test
1) Start by opening the main slide valve and setting the manometer
pressure to 9-10 bars.

Note: Machine should be operated only with a profile in

place!
2) Fit the plate under the mandrel, according the specific profile.

3) Fit the mandrel, and slide the profile over it. Make sure that the
mandrel’s rod is in the slot, and secured with the latch. See page no. ?.

4) Make sure you use the same number of mandrels and under plates.

5) Operate slowly the manual valve and check whether the movement is
free.

6) Check the operation of the small piston. First when normally operated,
and then with both side dies neutralized (by pulling out the round
handles)

Regular operation
1) Start by opening the main slide valve and setting the manometer
pressure to 9-10 bars.

2) Place profile and adjust end stop according to the needed measure.

3) Oil spray with the special can.

4) Operate the machine using the manual valve.

5) Make sure that the remainders come out.

Special Operation
If for any reason, the perforation is not ‘clearly cut’, operate the machine in
2 stages:

1) Neutralize the lateral movement and operate the machine; only the
vertical perforation is being activated.

2) Push the round handles back into place and operate the machine
again; lateral perforation is being activated on both sides.

End of Operation
1) Close the Main Sliding Valve and release all air pressure by pressing
the manual valve.

2) Lift the mandrel out of its bed.

3) Clean the machine.
