Topic 1-Writing task 1

The table illustrates data about how many Australian were used computer and internet in 2
different household income (below or above $50,000 per annum), over a three-year period
between 1998 and 2000.

Overall, the proportion of Australian were used online and computer access had been
increased over the period in both categories. However, people who earned over $50,000
always exceeded the lower income.

For people in household income under $50,000, there was a slight increase in the percentage
of access computer from 34% in 1998 to 37% in 2000, although there was a marginal decline
in 1999 by 1%. However, only one-tenth of Australian accessed to internet in 1998, followed
by increased slightly by 2% in 1999 and plummet double in 2000.

On the other hands, people who had income above $50,000 access computer just below 70%
in 1998 and rose gradually to 77% in 2000. There was a significant rise in online using from
34% in 1998 to less than 57% after 2 years.
