SG & MY users can use to start investing with Crypto currencies.

1. Xfers
a. https://www.xfers.io/account_registration
b. It is a streamline payment platform to connect your bank account to the various
exchanges available.
c. Basically, you using iBank (free) or credit card (fees applicable) to transfer funds
from your bank account into xfers account. Where it could be transferred to or
deducted by your exchange account.
d. What you need to set up:
i. Email and Phone for stage 1 account verification.
ii. Stage 2 account verification
Photo of ID (Front and Back);
Proof of Address (E.g. phone bill, etc.); and
Photo of yourself holding both your ID and a piece of paper that says
For Xfers.com ___/___/____ (DD/MM/YYYY).

2. Coinbase
a. https://www.coinbase.com/join/59166e26dff5a80569ddfe48
We both earn USD$10 (S$13) worth of bitcoin once you purchase USD$100 (S$137)
or more of digital currency.
b. It is an exchange for converting fiat currency (E.g. SGD, USD, etc.) into Bitcoin (BTC),
Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC).
c. Similar to money exchanger.
d. Payment methods:
i. Xfers (Fee: 1.45%) Deduct from your Xfers account; and
ii. Credit card (Fee: 3.75%) Not recommended
e. Pros:
i. Better rate for the cryptocurrency compared to Coinhako;
ii. Slightly higher amount of coins received compared to Coinhako;
iii. Available charts to view;
iv. Available phone app (apple and android) to monitor, buy and sell on the go;
v. Established company with sufficient backup of coins even during high
volume trading period; and
vi. Shorter process time for account to be verified.
f. Cons:
i. Higher Fee when purchase of coins 1.45% compared to Coinhako; and
ii. Unable to set up direct bank transfer when you have Xfers account set up as
the payment method.
g. What you need to set up:
i. Email and Phone for stage 1 account verification.
ii. Stage 2 account verification

Proof of Address (E.g. phone bill, etc.); and
Photo of yourself holding your ID.


3. Coinhako
a. https://www.coinhako.com/referrals/sign_up/NGKOONKIT_87289

We both earn S$5 once you purchase S$100 or more of digital currency.

b. It is an exchange for converting fiat currency (E.g. SGD, USD, etc.) into Bitcoin (BTC)
and Ethereum (ETH).
c. Similar to money exchanger.
d. Fiat transfer methods:
i. Xfers (Fee: 0.9%) Nearly instantly; and
ii. iBank transfer Est. half day for transfer.
e. Pros:
i. Lower Fee when purchase of coins 0.9% compared to Coinbase;
ii. Able to direct bank transfer;
iii. Singapore company (shorter waiting time for transfer of funds); and
iv. Fiat currency wallet within Coinhako.
f. Cons:
i. Lower rate for the cryptocurrency compared to Coinbase;
ii. Slightly lower amount of coins received compared to Coinbase;
iii. No charts to see (http://chart.coinhako.com/);
iv. Phone app for apple only; and
v. Possible lack of coins during high volume trading period.
g. What you need to set up:
i. Email and Phone for stage 1 account verification.
ii. Stage 2 account verification

4. Poloniex
a. https://poloniex.com/
b. It is an exchange for trading Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Monero (XMR) into
other alternate coins.
c. Similar to stock exchanges (E.g. SGX, NASDAQ, etc.).
d. Transfer BTC and/or ETH from Coinhako or Coinbase (Transfer only the amount you
are willingly to trade to alternate coins. The coins you keep in Coinbase or Coinhako
can be for savings to save on the fees.)
e. Pros:
i. Higher volume of trading;
ii. Able to have your buy/sell order to go through much faster; and
iii. Simple charts with super basic tools.
f. Cons:
i. Do not have new coins until they have gain traction and demand in volume;
and
ii. Possible Pump and Dump situation where a whale (users with a large sum
of capital) pushes the price up and profit taking causing it the crash
afterwards.
g. What you need to set up:
i. Email and Phone for stage 1 account verification.
ii. Stage 2 account verification

Photo of yourself holding your ID.

5. Bittrex
a. https://bittrex.com/
b. It is an exchange for trading Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) into other alternate
coins.
c. Similar to stock exchanges (E.g. SGX, NASDAQ, etc.).
d. Transfer BTC and/or ETH from Coinhako or Coinbase (Transfer only the amount you
are willingly to trade to alternate coins. The coins you keep in Coinbase or Coinhako
can be for savings to save on the fees.)
e. Pros:
i. Have newer coins after they ICO; and
ii. Lower possibility of Pump and Dump situation where a whale (users with a
large sum of capital) pushes the price up and profit taking causing it the
crash afterwards.
f. Cons:
i. Lower volume of trading;
ii. Your buy/sell orders might go through slower; and
iii. Not as user friendly charts compared to Poloniex.
g. What you need to set up:
i. Email and Phone.


Recommended ways to avoid high fees:

1. Xfers -> Coinbase


a. iBank transfer from your personal bank account to xfers
b. Buy coins through Coinbase with linked Xfers account
2. Xfers/ iBank -> Coinhako
a. iBank transfer from your personal bank account to xfers
b. Deposit SGD option of Coinhako from xfers/ iBank
c. Buy coins
3. Xfers/ iBank -> Coinhako/ Coinbase -> Poloniex/ Bittrex
a. iBank transfer from your personal bank account to xfers
b. Deposit SGD option of Coinhako from xfers/ iBank
c. Buy coins
d. Transfer coins to exchangers to trade for alternate coins

*Note: Since late May 2017 Xfers users are unable to transfer into or out of their account
(Maybank). Recommend to use iBank into Coinhako over credit cards.

**Note: I was able to transfer into Xfers DBS account on 16/06/2017. Do try it with small amount
first ($1,etc.)
