4TH QUARTER REPORT


FROM THE QUEEN OF PEACE LADIES AUXILIARY #510
TO AEGLA DISTRICT 3

OCTOBER TO DECEMBER 2016


INTRODUCTION

This Report from Queen of Peace Ladies Auxiliary # 510, Madina covers the Fourth
Quarter from October to December for the year 2016. Sisters continued to show
commitment to the Order an interest in the church as a whole by taking active part in her
activities

I. MEMBERSHIP
The Auxiliarys numerical strength now stood at seventy seven (77). Generally
between 25 to 35 Sisters attend the regular monthly meetings. The Deputy Organizer,
N/S Kporkenu visited the Auxiliary during November general meeting.

II. OFFICERS
The President, Sister Vivian Klu and her team of Officers continued to run the affairs
of the Auxiliary.

III. MEETINGS
The general monthly meetings of the Auxiliary continued to be held on the second
Saturday of every month at the Queen of Peace School, Madina.

IV. SPIRITUAL REFLECTION


The Past President handled the Spiritual Reflection at monthly meetings. In the month of
October she reflected on She advised us to encourage love and forgive one another and also
allow God to guide us in whatever we do. In November she reflected on the prayer. In
December she reflected on what Sisters have experienced for the past moths as the year is
about to end.

V. ACTIVITIES
The Auxiliary continued to participate in activities at the Local and District level.
Some of which are as follows;

1. Election for New Officers(8th October 2016)


The elections came off successfully without any ill feelings on the 8th of Oct, there
was also one proxy voting. The election was superseded by the Deputy Organizer N/S
Kporkenu.

2. Thanksgiving Mass of Sr. Lucy Obeng (9th October, 2016)


The Auxiliary attended the thanksgiving mass of Sister Obeng on the 8th of October,
2016 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Madina at 9:00am.

3. Rosary Devotion Schedule and Crowing of the Rosary (31st October, 2016)
The Auxiliary participated in the crowning of the Holy rosary on 31st October, 2016 at
St. Francis of Assisi.
4. Installation (5th November, 2016)
Installation of New Officers was on the 5th November, 2016 at Queen of Peace Catholic
School.

5. Charity
The Auxiliary showed charity the Church and among Sisters

6. Wedding
Sisters attended the wedding of Sister Martha Kyei on 29th October, 2016 at St. Joseph
Catholic Church, Suame, Tarkwa-Maakro in Kumasi. As usual the Commandery and
Auxiliary provided refreshment for themselves and a gift from the Commandery and
Auxiliary.

7. Funeral
Sisters attended the funeral of Brother Julius Amehounou Ghary-Wawah of Comm
604, on the 3rd of November, 2016 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Madina.

The Auxiliary attended the funeral of Sister Rosaline Obeng-Ofori on 17th December,
2016 at St. Theresa's Minor Basilica, Nandom.

Sisters attended the following relatives funeral,

Mr. Emmanuel Benjamin Acquah, the father of Sr. Cecilia Amuakwa


on 8th October, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Church, Pedu-Cape Coast.
Mother and Sister of Brother Obeng on Saturday 15th October, 2016 at
Brekum Praso in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Father of Jnr. Sister Francisca came off on Sunday 13th November,
2016 at Tema.
Brother of Fr. Owusu Ansah at Bekyem.

8. Birthday Handkerchiefs To Sisters


The Auxiliary continued to distribute special handkerchiefs to sisters on their
birthdays at every general meeting.

9. Report On Junior Auxiliary # 143


a. The Junior Auxiliary continued to hold their meetings on the first
Sunday of the month after first mass at Queen of Peace Catholic Church School,
Madina.
b. The Junior Auxiliary also participated in the District Nine Lessons and
Carols Marian Rally which was held on 18th December, 2016 at St. Francis of
Assisi Catholic Church.

VI. DISTRICT ACTIVITIES

10. District meeting (15th October, 2015)


QOPL Auxiliary Officers attended the District Meeting on Saturday 15th October, 2016 at St.
John the Evangelist Catholic Church Adenta for the third quarter of 2016. The meeting was
hosted by St. John the Evangelist Auxiliary.

11. District Memorial mass (5th November, 2016)


The Auxiliary participated in the District Memorial Mass which came off on 5th
November, 2016 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Madina. Prayers were said for
deceased members in the order.

12. Queen of Saints Award (19th November, 2016)


The Auxiliary attended the Queen of Saints Award on 19th November, 2016 at St
Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Legon. Two candidates Noble Sisters Agnes Awudu
and Prudence Danku were from Queen of Peace L'Aux.

13. Officers Workshop (26th November, 2016)


The Auxiliary attended the Officers workshop on 26th November, 2016 at St. John the
Evangelist Church Hall.

14. Visit to the Sick and Aged (2nd December, 2016)


The Auxiliary took part in the District visit to the sick and aged which was on 2nd of
December, 2016. Queen of Peace Auxiliary nominee was Noble sister Prudence Danku.

15. Nine Lessons and Carols (18th December, 2016)


The Auxiliary participated also in the District Nine Lessons and Carols which came off on
18th December, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

VII. CHALLENGES
The main challenges facing the Auxiliary is nonpayment of assessment, late payment
of assessment and some Sisters are still found not committed in taking part in the
Auxiliarys activities. The Auxiliary is doing its best to orient Sisters to change
attitude towards the Auxiliary and the Order as a whole.

VIII. ACHIEVEMENTS
The Auxiliary tried to get as many Sisters as possible to fulfill their financial
obligations.

IX. CONCLUSION

The Auxiliary is grateful to God for his mercies and abundant grace for the fourth
quarter of the year. We implore His mercy for continued strength to accomplish His
work for the growth of the Order and may Mary Queen of Peace pray for us all.
