ABOUT
I am a 3D modelling and texture artist geared towards environment and level design for games, and have recently graduated in Animation at the
University of Ulster, Belfast.
With a years previous industry experience in an indie games development team, I enjoy being challenged and push myself to improve as an artist.
I consider myself to be highly adaptable, with a broad range of skills across different areas and Im always eager to learn new things.
Im self-motivated to complete tasks to a high standard, with strong organisational skills and enthusiasm to work with passionate hard-working
teams.
EXPERIENCE
Within the team, I learned to manage the pressures of game development, to meet weekly and monthly project targets and deliver content for
deadlines such as trailer and game release dates and presentation updates for the project.
My individual role changed constantly over the course of development and flexibility in tasks was required on a daily basis. Throughout the
project my skillset expanded to include experience using the games in-house engine and tools, adjustment and organisation of assets, environment
and level design for multiplayer maps, terrain creation, foliage/prop modelling and texturing, character modelling, character armour skinning,
character animation, UI/UX design and prototyping, and QA testing. I also gained experience in public relations with the games social
community; filming and editing online developer video blogs, interacting across social media channels and managing the games website.
Additionally, I publicly represented the game with a few members of the team at Gamescom, Cologne in August 2016.
On this project we were involved in the pre-production of a future tv show, developing the initial story concept and characters, world-building, and
creating 3D pre-visuals based on early 2D concept art. I was involved primarily in modelling and texturing one of the two main characters,
conceptualising additional characters who might appear in the show, building upon existing characters, and conceptualising various different
environments.
