Essential Job Functions Assist Banks asset management personnel in the following functions:
Reviewing newly approved lending facilities, including analysis of property operations including
historical and projected revenues and operating, leasing and capital expenditures with respect to the
ongoing economic viability of the property and loan. Evaluating monthly loan draws to ensure
compliance with budget, assessing ongoing construction risk and ordering and reviewing title updates.
Reviewing and interpreting loan pay-offs and releases of collateral.
Reviewing lease agreements (and related estoppels and SNDAs), sales contracts and other legal
documents related to the loan portfolio Reviewing and interpreting Borrower / Guarantor financial
condition and compliance with loan and guaranty covenants, including reviewing and analyzing tax
returns and financial statements.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities This Program is designed to enhance the following:
Knowledge of all of real estate asset classes.
Understanding of all tiers / risk profiles of the capital stack.
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Knowledge of financial concepts utilized to analyze complex financial data, market information and
economic conditions.
Communication of the strengths, weaknesses and issues related to a transaction, in both written and
oral presentations.
Knowledge of real estate debt markets and the principal ownership position enabling the candidate to
more thoroughly understand complicated issues and opportunities of the real estate capital markets and
ownership positions.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and with exacting deadlines, with low-to-moderate
supervision.
Excel based financial modeling skills.
Basic Qualifications
Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master Degree program concentrating in finance, accounting, economics
or business.
Coursework or professional experience in commercial real estate preferred but not required.
Completion of a minimum of three (3) years of undergraduate studies prior to commencement of
internship (Bachelor candidates).
