"ALEXANDER THE GREAT WALKTHROUGH"

ALEXANDER BUILDS SOLID BASES:

Visit the Oracle to be proclaimed king. Once Pella opened its gates proceed south and
take the green whirlpool. You will be teleported near Pella, speak to the mage and
enter the town. From now you have to be quite fast in your moves, make your way
north, buy spell points and defeat the ogres. Then defeat the Tribal army, pick the
cornucopia and open the quest gate no later than day 7. Kill everything in your way,
conquer Roma and visit the red tent.

Now it is time to sail. Send Hephaestios with a few Immortals to boost his stats by
taking the resources banks, while Alexander heads south, land and takes Sparta. Then
he will have to sail again, visit the sanctuary then sail west and learn death ripple
spell. The following weeks consist in building Rome/Sparta (as well as guild level 4
in Pella!), visit the arena and library with ALL your generals (dismiss when they
visited and recruit the next available), buy ALL sacs of gold from the black
merchants.

When you feel strong enough, kill Agis, pick the levitation boots from hut and enable
the monolith exit for barbarians invasions. They will enter furiously in your lands, kill
them all with Alexander. Once 5 big armies were destroyed, you can head east for
Cappadocia plains. Keep in mind that you will need to protect your 3 cities with your
generals. Give them enough troops to be able to kill the invaders in ONE battle turn.
Having prayer expert is a must. Use chaining to move troops from Sparta to Pella and
from Pella to Rome in the SAME turn (you can either have one hero which water
walk between P and R or a clerk in a boat, which is better, as he can return the same
turn).

ATHENA IS ANEXED:

Once you get out of initial area, you will have to kill the Athenian army. Combine
death ripple with haste/prayer and keep all your troops alive. Capture Athens, head
north and if you are in time open the border to get valuable joiners. The border is
available until 3-1-7. Use the summoning stones to recruit troops from your cities and
attack Mardonius. Now go back on your steps and get the boots to be able to pass the
river.

CONQUEST OF CAPPADOCIA PLAINS:

A huge area where you can go as well east and south. Capture the cities in sight, kill
every hero is standing and head north. After defeating Patron (130/19/0) take the lith
and pick the boots. Cross the water and capture Damascus. By this time, visit with
your might generals every little thing which can boost their stats, attack with clerks
creatures banks until they get Expert Estates, buy sacs of gold from the fresh
discovered merchants. Free "The Balloon" from prison and park him ALWAYS near a
magic shop as TP is not for free in this scenario.

Be prepared to the next invasion, and it will be triggered when you step away from
the "very improved arena" at 131/92/0. So have at least one general ready to defend
the monolith exit. Kill Omphis and proceed underground.

Unusual features:
1)visit the black dragon at 143/81/0 to get "no retaliation" for all black dragons. It will
be useful later.
2) Some neutral monsters groups are related to your strength. If you attack them with
few creatures, they will be fewer also, but you will not gain maximum experience. Up
to you.

CONQUEST OF MEDIA:

From now you will already have long turns, between defending Pella and Rome on
one side, Heraclea and Sinope on the other. However Alexander has to follow his
destiny, so capture Ecbatana, kill the gorgons north (strength related) and have a meet
with your first serious fight, Darius III at 6/57/1.
Proceed north, take Arbela, purchase artifacts from magic merchant inside the city for
your generals. Follow the path to north, and kill King Porus and his elephants. Speak
to the enchanter and visit the fountain of fortune to pick the "double attack sword".

Return on your steps, open the gate at 18/74/1 and capture Susa. Give to Hephaestion
TP from hut, put him on rocklands and TP to Arbela. Visit with him the market of
time at 15/38/1 and "forget" 2 secondary skills to acquire air and earth from the
Conflux. (I suggest forgetting first aid and resistance). Visit the 4 knowledge trees
hidden around to get the skills to expert. Now Hephaestion is a brute feared by any
barbarian!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---For those who do not know how to bring a hidden skill in the first slot: hold Ctr
while clicking left mouse on the experience icon (hero screen). It will ask you if you
want to swap a skill with another from the hidden. Click "NO" until it proposes you
first aid. Now click "Yes" and first aid will be placed in the first slot. Now you can
visit the market of time and forget first aid. Do the same with Resistance.-----
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
From Susa Alexander must defeat the hydras at 32/85/1 (strength related) and buy 16
dragon flies. Once he has them, open the gate at 9/75/1 and proceed to Mesopotamia.
Keep in mind that opening this gate will enable the monolith exit at 7/73/1 so be
prepared to it.
CONQUEST OF MESOPOTAMIA:

First speak to the zealot at 14/88/1. Now kill Bessos and pick the armor of haste from
the zealot at 143/68/0.
Take Opis, bring Hephaestion for the quest gate and give him the gods bless. Pass the
sorceresses army (strength related), proceed west and visit the Altair of Bless
(2/124/1)
Go back, kill Memmon and capture Babylon. Pick the boots from hut and walk to
Arabia.

CONQUEST OF ARABIA:

Visit the brown tent, flag all dwellings and kill Dymnos which is quite annoying due
to high % block he has. Proceed east, kill Kebalinos (something near Athens can help
you for this battle) and visit the Armored cavalry training area 96/138/1).
Return on your steps and unlock the gate at 57/129/1. Follow the path to the north, a
bridge will appear and you will meet for the last time Darius. Capture Persepolis and
from now you will be able to build herculians in Arbela, Opis and Persepolis. Do it!!

From Persepolis send a clerk in a boat sail to the Persian Gulf to see what are asking
the huts. Also send him from Arbela sail on the Caspian Sea for same reason.

Now Alexander must capture Patala at 110/125/1 and defeat Kyros. Too hard for you?
Use wisely the abandoned mine near him. You should lose nothing in this battle.

Take the green lith and prepare to invade Parthia. The monolith exit at 51/135/1 will
activate so be prepared.

Hidden features: boar glen is in this area. Search it and recruit boars EVERY week!

CONQUEST OF PARTHIA:

Follow the path east and kill everyone in sight. Once Spitamenes defeated, visit the
phalanx training area. Continue north, take Hecatompylos and fight Stateira. Bring
Eurycholos to hecatompylos and visit with him the hut to get TP. Make him learn
earth in Arbela as you did with Hephaestion. Back on your steps, unlock the gate at
64/65/1 and visit Immortals training area for a nice surprise. Now unlock the gate at
73/53/1 and kill Thais and visit the purple tent. Unlock the gate at 69/55/1 and
proceed south. Capture Bactria and kill again Spitamenes which is now much more
skilled. Visit the dark blue tent at 91/52/1 as well as the Immortals training area near
the tent.
Now proceed south then east to capture Susia and kill the Susia army on your way.
You will have to upgrade your Immortals to Tetrarchs for this battle.
Follow south and kill Bagoas. Take the lith and you enter Sogdiana. The monolith exit
at 79/49/1 will activate so you will need one more general ready for defending against
the invasions.
CONQUEST OF SOGDIANA AND GEDROSIA:

Clean the area by defeating all neutrals and then fight the Aegian army at 140/35/1
(bring your Herculians for this fight!!). Proceed south and free Epimenes from jail.
Kill the Immortals at 124/48/1 (strength related- here you will need few army, if too
strong you will not succeed) and make Epimenes learn TP and get the speed artifacts.
Follow the path to south, take Maracanda and kill the Afghan army at 140/70/1.
Proceed south and you will fight a cloned Alexander. Funny battle, isn't it? Visit the
hypaspist training area at 143/102/1 and take the lith. You are now about to revenge
the death of Phillipe.
Visit the armored cavalry training area at 141/13/1 then kill Pausanias. Take Aegae,
pray at the tomb of Phillipe (kidding) and visit the white tent at 128/8/1.
Build castle gate and teleport Alexander to Nicephorion. By this time visit with your
clerks all the quest guards involving Pausanias to get valuable bonuses.
The lith at 143/50/1 will activate so you need to defend from now almost all your
land.

BLACK SEA:

Flag all gems pounds and take all spell powers boosters with Alexander. Now, from
Damascus give the 96 boars to the hut and receive a nice increase in stats.

CONQUEST OF EGYPT:

Proceed south and kill the Arabian army I. After killing him visit the Ultimate training
area at 15/142/1 to get bonuses needed for next fights. Now defeat all the armies
wandering around Alexandria and the town will open its gates. Make the combo "ring
of the magi" from the 3 parts you got from armies around Alexandria and sail. Kill the
Theban army at 137/112/0 then proceed west to meet Nabatean. Bring a general to
take troops from Alexander, as you need only Immortals and a good spell to fight him.
Visit the tower at 112/122/0 if your attack skill is too high so you can balance your
skills. You will need spell power for Nabatean, and you can always swap again your
skills after battle. Up to you to do what is right.
Visit the huts around to get admiral's hat, visit the hut at 91/139/0 to get the levitation
boots and proceed west.
Take Thebes but before visit Belzebuth at 74/111/0. Build behemoth lair in Thebes
then unlock the gate at 56/140/0. Take Memphis and unlock the gate at 41/129/0. Did
not find peasants? Well, maybe a sign somewhere in the area can inspire you?

CONQUEST OF CARTHAGO:

Visit the Ultimate arena at 31/107/0 then fight with Hannibal. Once he is defeated
unlock the gate at 42/111/0 and sail for Rhodes. Once he is dead unlock the gate at
20/111/0 and visit the green tent. Now you can get rid of those green pesky invaders.
5 more left.
Go north and Alexander will start to feel sick. His movement will be reduced after
getting several warnings. Kill the Carthage army defending Carthage and use fly to
visit the light blue tent at 12/55/0 with Hephaestion. Take the lith at 1/57/0 with
Alexander and capture Kabul. Build grail inside, make everyone learn fly and crush to
dust once for ever the invaders.

ALEXANDER DEATH:

After removing the light blue border guards at 5/28/0 cast fly with Alexander and
unlock the quest guard at 1/28/0. Death will attack and Alexander will die with honor.
Hephaestion will get his lying corpse and will have to burry it in the warrior tomb
which will appear at 137/137/1. Doing this, the last tan castle will join the red player,
death will disappear and you will get a clean score.

Congratulation, you conquered the world!

WoG special feature: checking creatures hidden abilities: click twice on a creature
when in Hero screen. Now click with right mouse to open abilities panel. In battle
