AGUEDA KAHABAGAN

- called "HENERAL BRIGADA" and "HENERAL AGUEDA"

- the only female general during Phil. Revolution

- She led a brigade using rifle and sandatahanes (or bolomen)-revolutionaries wielding bolos -in the fights in Laguna

ANTONIO LUNA

- skilled, courageous and a strict general.

- he studied military tactics in Europe and may be considered as one of Aguinaldo's generals who was most prepared for
battle

- he was killed at the age of 31 by revolutionaries in Cabanatuan with whom he had a rift

APOLINARIO MABINI

- called "SUBLIME PARALYTIC" and " BRAINS OF THE REVOLUTION"

- served as Aguinaldo's cabinet as president of the council of Secretaries and secretary of External Affairs

- He was also Aguinaldo's adviser and staunch supporters of the revolution against Americans

GREGORIO DEL PILAR

called the "YOUNG GENERAL" and "HERO OF TIRAD PASS"

- he volunteered to delay Americans ' pursuit to let Aguinaldo escape to Northern Luzon

- He was killed in the Battle of Tirad Pass on Dec. 2, 1899 at the age of 24

MACARIO SAKAY

- he founded the REPUBLIKA NG KATAGALUGAN, an organization aimed at attaining independence from the Americans

- he was among the last Filipino generals who surrendered to the Americans with the promise that he and his men will
be granted amnesty

- he was accused as a bandit by virtue of the BRIGANDAGE ACT when he surrender and was sentenced to death on Sept.
13, 1907

MIGUEL MALVAR

- very first Batangueno to participate in the Philippine Revolution

- he led Filipino soldier to Batangas, Laguna and Tayabas

After Phil.- American war , he continued to fight as guerrilla

- he was the last Filipino generals to surrender to the Americans in 1902

-she cared for the sick and hurt revolutionaries in the mountains which was why she was also known as "INA NG
PHILIPPINE RED CROSS"

- called "babaeng lalaki" because of her courage was unparalleled when she joined the battles in Bulacan and Zambales

- Emilio Aguinaldo's wife

- founded the "HIJAS DELA REVOLUCION" also known as "CRUZ ROJA" ( Red Cross Association)

JUAN ABAD

- arrested and sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and a fine of $2000 for sedition because of his play " Tanikalang
Ginto"

- He also wrote " Isang Punlo ng Kaaway"

AURELIO TOLENTINO

- HE wrote the play "KAHAPON, BUKAS AT NGAYON" which allegedly sparked some revolts against US.

- He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1905 but was granted pardon in 1912

VICTORINA LACTAW

- LACTAW (pseudonym) was among 9 Filipino women writers of the poem "HIBIK NAMIN" that was published in El
Heraldo Filipino on February 17, 1899

- The poem is about the irreverence suffered by Filipino women in the hands of the American Soldiers which prompted
the Filipinos to fight as an expression of their love and debt of gratitude to their mother.

JOUNALIST

FIDEL REYES

a journalist who wrote ' AVES DE RAPINA" meaning "BIRDS OF PREY"

- he criticized Dean C. Worcester , secretary of Interior of the Phil., published in El Renacimiento

- sentenced with imprisonment and fined 60,000 pesos for sedition
