TRIPLE-CHANNEL PWM CONTROLLER

Features General Description

z Complete PWM Power Control Circuitry The AAT1100 provides an integrated triple-channel
z Precision Reference1.25V1% (25 oC) pulse-width-modulation (PWM) solution for the
power supply of DC-DC system, this device offers
z Low Operating Voltage2.5V to 7V
the systems engineer the flexibility to tailor the
z Under-voltage Lockout Protection
power supply circuitry to a specific application.
z Totem Pole Output Each channel contains its own error amplifier,
z Output Short Circuit Protection PWM comparator, deadtime control and output
z Low Dissipation Current driver. The under-voltage protection, oscillator,
2.5mA (f=500kHz, Duty=50%) short circuit protection and voltage reference circuit
z Separated On / Off Control for Ch-1, are common for the three channels.
The AAT1100 contains two boost exclusive circuits
3 pair and Ch-2 (see function table)
(Ch-1,3) and a buck-boost exclusive circuit (Ch-2).
z Dead Time Control0 to 100%
Dead-time control (DTC) can be set to provide 0%
z Wide Operating Frequency50kHz to 1MHz to 100% dead time by resistive divider network.
z Minimized External Components Soft start can be implemented by paralleling the
Pin Configuration DTC resistor with a capacitor. Two dead time
control inputs are assigned for Ch-1,3 pair and Ch-2
TOP VIEW individually, and dead time control inputs can be
IN2 1 16 EO3 used to control on / off operation.
EO 2 2 15 IN3 With a minimum number of external components,
VDD 3 14 IN1 the AAT1100 offers a simple and cost effective
