The Synergy of Traffic Management in EDSA between MMDA, DOTC, LTO and
LTFRB: A Critical Analysis

ABSTRACT:
Issues in traffic is a major problem in the country in the present
context, the public clamor for reforms in traffic rules and regulation is steadily
increasing due to the contributions of social media nowadays. In solution of the
issues in traffic in the country the Philippine government specifically the
executive branch of the government is in focus of regulating traffic through
agencies that specializes in transportation and traffic management but confusion
resurfaces in the public because of the laws implemented regarding traffic
without the coordination in the LGUs. This study would analyze the effectiveness
of the programs of the four agencies in handling the traffic management in
EDSA. The researchers of this study would conduct a quanlitative and
quantitative approach in this study through the use of interviews and surveys.
Interviews would be conducted to the key personels of the four agencies while
survey would be conducted to the commuter and transport groups passing by
EDSA. At the end of this research, it is expected that this study will provide in
depth thought on the agencies synergy with one another in providing the public
with a better plan in alleviating traffic issues in the metro.
