Save Jackson Park: We Say No to the Tiger Woods Golf Course

We, the undersigned, oppose any golf course in Jackson Park and South Shore that would extend beyond the current
footprint of the two golf courses already in place.
We oppose the proposed golf course in Jackson Park and South Shore and any amended golf course proposal which:
1. Closes, alters, or moves the South Side Nature Sanctuary, Jackson Bark, two basketball courts, the baseball diamond,
the soccer field, tennis courts, two childrens playlots, pickle ball courts, and the riding arena.
2. Fails to publish and accurately document the burden to taxpayers.
3. Restricts public access to any stretch of the shoreline that is currently accessible.
4. Closes any part of Marquette Drive.
5. Includes fencing that further restricts public access, eliminates winter cross-country skiing, and hampers other
informal leisure activities.
6. Fails to offer guarantees of playability and affordability to current golfers and future local golfers; and which fails to
take their suggestions and needs into account.
Plans for any golf course must include a transparent, meaningful public process beginning immediately.
