Group Simulation for Budgeting

BOS/e Compensation Simulator has provision that allows group simulation for a certain
number of employees (group) for budgeting purposes. The total amount of increase for
the group is computed and can be viewed easily by the user.

1. Refer to Chapter 2 of this manual on how to create a new simulation file.

2. Refer to Chapter 2, Step 4: Select the employees that will be included for the
group simulation.

3. Follow Steps 5 to 21 on Chapter 2 for steps on how to process group simulation. For
our group simulation file do a 10% Across the Board Increase.

Figure 17. Input Across the Board Percent Increase

4. Study Figure 18 to view the amount of increase per base salary of each employee.

NOTE:
This is how AMOUNTOFINCREASE is computed

(BASESALARY * 0.10) = AMOUNTOFINCREASE

(15,000.00 (0.10)) = 1,500.00

5. To process the 10% Across the Board Increase, follow Steps 16 onwards on
Chapter 2 of this manual. Refer to Figure 19 to view the new salary of the three
selected employees for our group simulation.

BOS/e Compensation and
Benefits Manager
It should be noted that once a simulation file has been posted, properties that were
defined and other details would also be reflected in BOS/e Compensation and Benefits
Records Manager. This chapter aims to present the relationship between BOS/e
Compensation Simulator and BOS/e Compensation and Benefits Records
Manager.

1. Refer to Chapter 2 on how to create and process a simulation file. Study Figure
20 below - before a compensation increase has been posted.
