The Rizvi Education Society was established by DR. AKHTAR HASAN RIZVI in the year 1982, who set his heart on
the realization of a dream "the establishment of a mini university", catering to a variety of educational interests and
aspirations. The Rizvi College of Arts, Science & Commerce was started in the academic year 1985-86. This was just the
beginning of a line of successful ventures that were to follow. The amazing speed with which one professional institute
followed another was awe-inspiring. Today, the Rizvi Educational Empire has expanded to unimaginable dimensions. As of
now, we have twenty two institutes in all, not only in Mumbai but in Jaunpur, Allahabad (Kaushambi, Karari) as well.

NAAC INSPECTIONS
In 2004 we underwent a full NAAC inspection for the first time. We were highly delighted with the positive nature of the NAAC report which
categorized the College as one of the best in Mumbai. It was a magnificent testament to the provision we deliver.
A further NAAC Inspection in September 2011 reaffirmed and showed a drastic improvement in our status across all areas of provision.
Since 2011, the performance of our students and teachers has been consistently strong. In other words, our outstanding status has been
cemented.
Key strength of the College have been identified as:
High success rates.
Very good progress of students.
Outstanding teaching and learning.
Outstanding Extension and Enrichment activities.
Excellent facilities and resources.
Strong commitment to equality of opportunity.
LEARNING SUPPORT
Our Study Centre works with subject teachers to ensure that the individual learning needs of all students are identified and met. We also
provide specialist support for students with specific learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Wherever appropriate, we will ensure that additional
time or other access arrangements in examinations will be given. Overall support for students was highly praised by NAAC, judging that support
for students is excellent.
INDIVIDUAL LEARNING NEEDS
As students have a range of needs, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, Aspergers Syndrome, ADHD and mental ill health, learning support is
seen as an integral part of the Colleges provision. The College is creative in its support of individual needs, providing a range of opportunities for
all students. We are extremely proud of the provision we offer. In addition to the regular support sessions that take place, students can self-refer
through books, CDs and Magazines in library. Learning Support is part of a strong Student Services team, which works closely with mental health
support services and other link agencies. We organise industrial visits, field visits, workshops and training programme for students. We also have
National and International tie-ups with Institutes of high repute.
