This report has been prepared to gather some consumer insight regarding their biscuits purchase
and consumption behavior. Apart from collecting customer insights regarding their purchase and
consumption behavior I have tried to explore various choices of the customers and scrutinize the
familiarity of our company name to the consumers. I have designed a questionnaire and
conducted a survey to gather primary data. Analysis and interpretation of these data will be
presented in the following part of the report.
As mentioned earlier, its a survey report. Objective of the report is to present and interpret the
information collected from the survey. I have asked 10 questions to the respondents, here are the
questions and the result of the survey
Question 1
How many biscuits in a month do you purchase?

84 percent of the total respondents have not seen or eaten any biscuits or cookies with apple
flavor. 7.84% of the respondents have seen and eaten biscuits with apple flavor, but none of them
was able to mention the name of the biscuits. One of the respondents has told me that he was in
Korea few years ago, he ate apple flavored cookie there. He also mentioned that it was very
delicious. 7.84 percent of the respondents are indifferent to the flavor of the biscuits. Many of
them do not notice the flavor unless they extremely like or dislike it.
Question 4 - If the answer of the previous question is yes, please mention the name-
4 of the respondents have told me that they have seen or eaten apple flavor biscuits/ cookies, but
none of them was able to mention the name of the biscuits.
78 percent of the respondents are totally ignorant of apple flavor biscuits. It is difficult for them
to contemplate the taste of this kind of biscuits.12 percent of respondents express their negative
opinion regarding this idea. Some of them have told me that it will be difficult for a person to
eat three consecutive apple biscuits/ cookies, but it can be tasty nonetheless.

According to survey Nutty biscuits of Oympic are the most popular brands to the respondents.
Second place goes to the chocho digestive biscuits of Haque ( 9.8%) .9.8 % of the respondents
have also said that they like non branded salty cookies; they purchase it from confectionaries one
kg or 2 kgs. 7.8% of the respondents have told that they like any biscuits with chocolate flavors;
they dont have any specific choice of brand. Some of them did not try to memorize the name of
the biscuits or company. almost 10 percent of the respondents have so specific choice of biscuits,
they said that they eat biscuits which seems tasty to them.

Here we see that almost 45 percent of the respondents like biscuits because of its salty and sugar
free taste and chocolate flavor. As mentioned above that young adults and teen agers prefer
chocolate biscuits and senior citizens like salty biscuits. 15 percent of the respondent like nutty
biscuits for its nutty taste. 18 percent of the respondents said that they frequently eat their
favorite biscuits because only its tasty. Sometimes they did not try to fathom the nature of the
flavor. 10 percent of the respondents do not have any specific choice . they will embrace any
biscuits that seems delicious to them

Almost 50 percent of the respondents mostly purchase biscuits ranged within 5 15 taka. 17
percent of the respondents purchase family pack and tin biscuits most of the time. 15 % of the
respondents mostly purchase biscuits ranged within 5- 15 taka and 16-30 taka.
Question 9 - Have you ever heard the name of Bengal Biscuits Limited?

This question was asked to the respondents to judge the familiarity of the our company to the
people. 41% of the respondent are familiar with our company name and 59% of the respondents
did not hear the name of the Bengal Biscuits ltd. some of the them have purchased the biscuits of
Bengal but they have never noticed the company name. In fact in the case low engagement lower
priced products people do not notice the company name easily. Sometimes they even do not try
memorize the name of the product name they like. Many of the respondents told me that they
like Nutty biscuits but they dont know which company manufactures and markets it. So
branding of specific brands is much more important than the branding of the company.
