ATHENA GALLERY CONTRACT FOR EXHIBITION
Athena Gallery Of Fine Arts agrees to accept artwork on consignment, listed on attached inventory, by
ARTIST: Khalid Mahmood Mithu CONTRACT DURATION: 5/1/2014 to 5/15/2014
The following commission/payment terms will apply to each consigned artwork sold by the Athena
Gallery Of Fine Arts: 30% (COMMISSION TO ATHENA GALLERY) 70% (FINAL PAYMENT TO ARTIST)
By signing and initialing this document, both parties agree to each stipulation listed below:
(1) ARTIST retains ownership of all work consigned to or represented by Athena Gallery. ______(initial)
(2) Retail sales price for each consigned artwork will be established by Athena Gallery in
consultation with ARTIST. _______ (initial)
(3) ARTIST is responsible for paying for any additional framing and display costs.
(4)
Athena Gallery will exert all reasonable efforts to close sales of consigned or represented
artwork. ARTIST agrees to provide Athena Gallery, in a timely fashion and upon request, with
any necessary documents or information in support of sales. _______ (initial)
(5) Payment to ARTIST will be provided within 15 days after receipt of payment. If Athena Gallery
accepts installment payment sales, ARTIST agrees to accept partial payments as received by
Athena Gallery. Artwork will not be released by Athena Gallery to Buyer until full payment is
received. If artwork is released to Buyer before full payment is satisfied, Athena Gallery
agrees to pay ARTIST full percentage of commission owed. ________(initial)
(6) Athena Gallery will photograph the physical condition of all received artwork. Any damages
will be noted and will be the responsibility of the ARTIST. All reasonable efforts will be made
to protect consigned artwork from accidental damage or breakage. ________ (initial)
(7) ARTIST will be responsible for pick up and return delivery of all submitted artworks. ________ (initial)
Any and all modifications to this contract must occur with the consent of both parties.
