First time installation of StulzSelect 1.9.0

Dear Sir or Madam,

The installation program StulzSelect_190.exe (62.2 MB) can be downloaded at following link.

Requirement:
- login as administrator or poweruser on during the whole procedure
- for WindowsXP, Vista and Windows7
(Windows 7 user will find more references in the attached application note - StulzSelect on Windows7
systems)

Installation of StulzSelect 1.9.0

Start StulzSelect_190.exe and follow the instructions on the screen. First the Windows Installer will be
installed, On the end of the installation it might be necessary to restart the computer.

Updates
in order to keep up-to-date with future improvements and updates click from time to time on Extras/ Update/
run update.

Registration of StulzSelect
The authorisation is related to a certain PC and has to be made by an individual activation code.
The process is as follows:
1. Press the buttons [CTRL]+ [SHIFT]+[L] after starting StulzSelect.
2. Mark the checkbox Activation code request and press OK.
3. The key will be shown in the textbox. Copy the complete key-string via clipboard into your mail program.
4. The mail is to be sent with information about the desired level and period of validity to
StulzSelect@stulz.de
5. After receiving the activation code open the licence manager once more and copy the code into the text
field. Confirm with OK and the program is activated
attention should be paid to
- no blanks at the end of the activation code
- the activation code fits only to the created key. If several keys are created, only the last key is valid. An in
the meantime received activation code may not work.

Die Installation der Dokumentation erfolgt

durch Auswahl der angebotenen Sprache ber
das Men Extras, Update, Select

The installation of the documentation can be
started by menu item Extra, update, Select
Documentation.

Whlen Sie die gewnschte Sprache durch
markieren der entsprechenden Checkbox.
Je nach gewhlter Sprache ist die
Dokumentation unterschiedlich gro. Um nicht
zu groe Downloads zu erzeugen sollte beim
ersten Update nur eine Sprache markiert
werden. Durch klick auf die Schaltflche
Update Starten (siehe Pic.1) werden die
Dateien auf ihren Rechner geladen. Im
Anschluss kann der Downloadprozess mit
einer weiteren Sprache wiederholt werden.

Sobald eine Sprache installiert ist, kann der

Haken gesetzt bleiben, ein deaktivieren fhrt
dazu das die entsprechende Sprache nicht
mehr aktualisiert wird!

According to selected language the
documentation are of varying sizes.

In order to generate not too big downloads,

only one language should be selected in the
first update process. After marking the
checkbox click on the Run update button
shown in Pic 1.
Afterwards the download process can be
repeated with another language.
As soon as a language is installed, the
checkbox can remain activated. A disabled
checkbox means that the language will no
longer be updated.

Important information for installing on Windows 7 computers

Requirement: Administrative privileges on the system for whole installation and the
first pre-selection of an A/C-unit

In addition pay attention to following Windows 7 particularities which are described

below

1. Download and save the

file StulzSelect_170_EN.exe
in any database folder on
the hard disk.

2. Start the installation by

right click on the setup file
and choose "Run as
administrator"
from the context menu.

Click on Finish in order to

complete the wizard.

In order to register relevant

DLLs StulzSelect has to be
started once with full
administrator rights.

Therefore start StulzSelect

from the Windows start
menu
and choose "Run as
administrator"
from the context menu.
Click on Preselection

and do any calculation.

After the calculation has to
led to one result click on
close to complete the
precalculation

The installation of
StulzSelect is completed
with that. Another program
start can be done with
simple user authorisation
