4. PROCEDURAL TEXT
4.1. Sample is taken from the stockpile.
4.2. The sample is dried out in an oven under 110 degree celcius to reach the condition where the material ihas a constant weight. The drying process may be less than 24 hours but the sample should achieve the constant weight. 4.3. The aggregates shall be seperated as per its classification shown on the table. 4.4. Mix the aggregates out of some classification (a/b/c/d).as per intentended combination with total weight of 5000 gram. Classified as (A). 4.5. Light on the power lamp. 4.6. Rotate abrasion drum by pushing inching knot.at the speed up to 33 rpm. 4.7. Open the drum cap and fill in with the aggregates. 4.8. put the steel ball as required (see table) Close the drum tightly. 4.9. Open the counter and set the to 500 and then close the counter. 4.10. Press the start button so that the drum rotate, the speed of the rotation will show on the counter and the drum will stop after. 500 rotation. 4.11. Open the drum cap by pushing the inching button so that the drum rotates and aggregates and the steel ball come out to the pan. 4.12. Sieve the aggregate using Sieve size 12, and aggregates ratatined to be washed clean. 4.13. Dry out in the oven 24 hours at 110 degree or leass than 110 degree but the aggregates shall achieve the constatnt weight. 4.14. measure the dry weight as called (B). 4.15.
