Dear All,

For MRIL job, we were running our CAT at 1800 rpm to run alternator in manual mode. Now we can run
MRIL by setting CAT at rpm 1375-1400.

Please do the following setting in Rexroth

1. Power up the controller but do not start the alternator. Press and hold both ENTER and ESC for
several seconds to access the MENUS (Parameter and setup).
2. Enter on Parameter.
3. By UP/DOWN, go to MANNUAL STROKE and press Enter.
4. You will get fluid displacement option:- it will be 50 then Set it to near 74-78.

Then set Rexroth in Manual mode.

Now run CAT at 1375-1400 RPM and start the alternator. It should make frequency around 60Hz. We
can also adjust the fluid displacement value to get frequency=60Hz in manual mode.

Sir,
We have confirmed that running with two ACs and Checked RDT, found voltage remained about 112V
and frequency 60-62hz which is good.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Harish
Pls confirm voltage of 112.6V is with load applied ie AC and tools powered on..

Kind regards

Dear Sir,
After checking frequency by changing this value, we found the following parameters

Fluid displacement value=78

CAT RPM=1375

Then we got Alternator voltage=112.6v

Frequency=60hz

We also checked by giving load on alternator, the voltage remain same 112.6v.
So, now we can run MRIL with CAT rpm-1375 in manual mode.

Please approve so that we can circulate it.

Dear Harish
As discussed:
1) Good finding how we can control the stroke of the alternator pump by changing fluid
displacement value . Please test it. If successful we can run engine at low RPM and still achieve
desired Voltage and frequency.
2) Get the filters checked for Hydraulics.

Kind regards
Pravesh

Subject: Frequency issue_MRIL job

Dear Sir,
We did MRIL jobs in manual mode with CAT RPM-1825 in SKD007OH. With this RPM, alternator is
making 48-49 HZ frequency and 89V. So we increased the voltage by setting Basler at maximum limit
and voltage reached upto 110-115v (max) but still frequency was 48-49Hz and we did job which is not
good.

But in SKD008OHNER and SKD009OHNER units, Alternator is making 115V and Frequency 57-59 Hz with
Rexroth in manual mode having CAT rpm 1700-1800. So, No need to disturb our Basler.

For its troubleshooting in SKD007OH,

A. Doubt is either Rexroth is not giving exact voltage to pump solenoid in manual mode.
B. Or pump is not giving full displacement according to Rexroth voltage.
C. Or CAT rpm meter showing 1800 rpm is not correct.

Now, we found Rexroth (Frequency controller) gives 4.5V to pump solenoid in manual mode and 6.5v in
automatic. Then we checked same with another Rexroth in Lab. It was also giving same voltage. We will
confirm the same from Barmer also.

For other option, there is a fluid displacement value of 50 in manual mode of Rexroth parameters, if we
increase this value to 55 (it will increase pump solenoid voltage to 4.8v in manual mode), then our unit
will make frequency near about 56 Hz and voltage 113V without disturbing Basler having 1800 rpm of
CAT.

Please suggest.
