Informatica Customer Advisory for

Informatica Cloud connecting to Salesforce

Executive Summary
Salesforce is undergoing security changes due to recent exploitations of vulnerabilities in SSL. To
accommodate for these Salesforce changes, Informatica Cloud must make corresponding changes that
will allow the Informatica agent to continue to connect to Salesforce in a secured way.
We are providing a patch for our customers that can easily be downloaded and installed on the agent
machine.

Affected Software
Informatica Cloud Service along with Salesforce connections

Suggested Actions
If you use Informatica Cloud to connect to Salesforce, you are impacted. The Informatica Cloud agent
patch is mandatory to ensure your Salesforce jobs are unaffected.

Resolution
Download the patch from the following location:

Follow these steps to install:

1. Stop Informatica Secure Agent.


2. Take a back-up of the folder: <agent_install_location>\main\bin\rdtm (Ex: C:\Program Files
(x86)\Informatica Cloud Secure Agent\main\bin\rdtm).
3. Take the platform specific zip file from patch location above, and unzip the file under
<agent_install_location> (Ex: For Windows platform, under C:\Program Files (x86)\Informatica
Cloud Secure Agent, unzip win_agent_sfdcpatch.zip).
4. Verify that the following files are updated in <agent_install_location>\main\bin\rdtm - dated
10/31/2014
For Windows:
a. pmsfdccmn.dll
b. pmsfdclkp.dll
c. pmsfdcmrg.dll
d. pmsfdcpck.dll
e. pmsfdcrdr.dll
f. pmsfdcwrt.dll
g. ca-bundle.crt

For Linux platform:


h. libpmsfdccmn.so
i. libpmsfdclkp.so
j. libpmsfdcmrg.so
k. libpmsfdcpck.so
l. libpmsfdcrdr.so
m. libpmsfdcwrt.so
n. ca-bundle.crt
5. Start Informatica Secure Agent.

Informatica Cloud jobs will encounter the below errors when security changes on Salesforce are rolled
out.

1. [ERROR] Bulk API cURL error received. Error message [SSL certificate problem, verify that the
CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL
routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed].
2. Fault code [SOAP-ENV:Client]. Reason [SSL_ERROR_SSL error:1408F10B:SSL
routines:SSL3_GET_RECORD:wrong version number].
