 About the Career Development Program CDP 2017
The Career Development Program (CDP) is a consolidated certified program designed to equip
senior graduating students with the self-understanding and necessary tools to establish a meaningful
career and be prepared before entering the job market.

This year is our 3rd round of the CDP the first activity Motivational Talk will be on 25th of September
2017 and the end of activities will be on 28th of November 2017

WORKSHOP

What should I do to attend?

This workshop is conducted by SCAD team
to educate the students with the tools
needed to write a resume in a competitive
market, how resumes should be organized,
format choices, resume dos and don'ts.

letters, and sample resumes and cover
letters.
After Passing Phase I registration (check

Phase II registration and then you will
choose suitable date and time for your

What should I do to attend?

You have to attend at least 1 job hunting

Job Search & Networking Techniques
Overview of the entire job search campaign: effective job search
strategies, using social networking sites in your job search, making
a good impression, and the importance of follow-up. How to
network effectively in the job search campaign? Build your
network, your 30-second infomercial and dos and donts of
networking.
After Passing Phase I registration

will receive Phase II registration and
then choose at least 1 topic that is of
interest to you out of the 3 offered

Learn how to get started on the world's largest professional

networking site. Tackling the main instructions to create a
professional LinkedIn profile and build your network on this
effective social media channel, how to increase your chances of

Job Offer Evaluation & Salary Negotiations

How to evaluate a job offer, successfully negotiate salary and

job offer with employer in a professional manner and have
awareness of legal conditions

For students who are interested in getting specialized hands on

experience through a technical interview with technical
professional from the industry and assessment of their technical
knowledge

Discussion Panels

Featured discussion panel comprised of 3 experts from different industries to brief the students enrolled
in the program about the main information about the addressed industry, the main career options in
this industry, the job nature, what to do to pursue a career in this field.

Alumni Roundtables Discussion How to choose profiles of
interest?

After Passing Phase I registration

Distinguished GUC Alumni from different fields will be present on
campus for open discussion with registered students in a round table
communication, roundtables will comprise of the alumnus/alumna
and group of students (5 -7) where all the group will communicate
and learn from graduates experience

will receive Phase II registration and
then you will be eligible to select the
profiles of alumni you are interested
to meet!

You will get introduced to the profiles of participating

alumni from different backgrounds, areas of expertise, years
of experiences .. And career paths

You will have the chance to ask all the questions you have
in mind whether regarding the job market .. How to apply
for certain companies?

Should I apply for post graduate studies after graduation or

acquire some professional experience first? etc.

All of this in a friendly communication layout


Interactive Workshop
One day interactive learning workshop by
professional trainer where groups of 25 students
attend and gain knowledge about their
potentials and how to develop their skills.

(acceptance/apology)
3. If Accepted, proceed with Phase II registration
which includes more details on your personal
selections for certain activities and dates

General Guidelines
All enrolled students are kindly asked to attend
all the obligatory activities to get the official
certificate of completion
Your attendance will be recorded and traced
for SCAD review and verification
Any emergent and sudden cases have to be
reported to the SCAD office on an earlier base
and prior to the activity
In case of completing the whole registration
for the program and confirmation with no
actual presence in the program activities, the
caliber will be subjected to a penalty due to
reserving a seat without presence
