A unity feedback system is characterized by an open loop transfer

function G(s) = K/s(s+10). Determine the gain K so that the
11 (a) system will have a damping ratio of 0.5. For this value of K, A C306.2
determine settling time, peak overshoot and time to peak overshoot
for a unit step input. (10)
(or)
The open loop transfer function of a unity feedback system is
G(s) = K/s(1+sT) where K and T are positive constants. Evaluate
(b) the factor by which the amplifier gain has to be reduced so that the A C306.2
peak overshoot of unit step response of the system is reduced from
75% to 25%? (10)
Part C*

Q. No. Question (s) Skills CO
Determine the range of values of K for which the unity feedback
12 (a) system, whose G(s) = K/[s(s2+s+1)(s+7)] is stable and determine A C306.3
the frequency of sustained oscillations. (12)
(or)
