Draft one specific jury instruction for the Justin King case.

Now that the evidence has completed, you will be educated on the law and your

responsibilities. The Courts instruction must be considered as a whole. You may not

choose which to disregard, and which to listen to. The instructions I give you will contain

information on the law as it refers to this case. You are to use the law, given in the

instructions, to determine the fasts based on the evidence so that you may resolve this case.

It is your duty to determine what facts have been proven by evidence or reasonable deduction

drawn from the evidence. All evidence must be considered, regardless of which party

produced it.

You will also prepare two voir dire questions.

1. Have you read in the newspapers, read on the internet, seen on television, or heard on the

radio anything about this case, or do you have any knowledge of the facts or events of

this case?

a. I would ask this question to determine if someone might be bias toward either the

plaintiff or the defendant based on what they might have read. Additionally,

because Justin King allegedly won a singing competition, they may have certain

favoritism toward him if they followed the show.

2. Does anyone know or has anyone dealt with the plaintiffs, the defendants, or their

attorneys? If yes, please identify the person you know or have dealt with, the nature of
your relationship, and whether that relationship would hinder or affect your ability to give

a fair trial to all of the parties in this case.

a. Again, this question can be used to determine if someone would be able to deliver

a fair trial to everyone involved. Perhaps they had the same lawyer that

represented Justin King and felt that the lawyer did not represent them properly.
