Summary
This artide is ronarned with the ronupt of assertiveness. The roots, substitutions with ot-
her terms, definitions and dimensions have bun reviewed. Not one definition has been univer-
sally ampted, though an implidt agreement about the meaning of the ons/rtl(/ of auertiventu
in seen among the dinidans and experimenters. The assertive behavior is divided into several di-
mensions, but these onts have no/yet been well established, though the assertive training is a Stl(-
essful behiJIIior therapy tuhnique of /rea/men/. Finally, some haraleristiu of the assertive be-
