INVASION exists to invest and inspire young people to live life well.

Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for young people to learn and grow
within. Hope Church is a Church and INVASION is a Christian run youth group upholding Christian values.
The following boundaries and standards are guidelines within which there will be flexibility and understanding. We do not want to see any young people
excluded from INVASION and will do everything reasonably within our power to keep young people at youth.

INVASION is built on a foundation of respect and honour and we expect all who attend our youth to abide by the following rules;
During main meetings, youth are required to ask permission
Speak words that encourage one another & build each other up from youth leaders to leave the room i.e. toilet, for their own
safety
Our actions should be out of care and show love to one another
INVASION has a NO bullying attitude, and foul speech and
behaviour to one another will not be tolerated
INVASION will officially open the doors at 7.30PM, youth are
encouraged not to come before then. INVASION finishes at
9.30PM.
Guidance and instruction from leaders should be taken with Youth are required to honour the public and neighbours who will
respect be around the premises and busy roads
Leaders are volunteers who sacrifice their time for INVASION Any damages to site, property or resources, are to be paid for
youth, therefore they should be appreciated by the said youth who damaged it

Excessive swearing Consistent helpfulness I.e. serving on a team - set up/down or

Behaviour that could result in injury to oneself or others tuck shop
Disregard to Hope Church property Consistent honour and respect to others, leaders and property
Rudeness and dishonouring behaviour or language towards Commitment to INVASION shown through attendance
other young people or INVASION leaders Consistent willingness to listen and participate

If behaviour becomes unacceptable, the young person will be given verbal reminders by INVASION leaders to remind them of our 'Honour and Respect'
culture. Should excessive disregard to the reminders become a problem the following escalations will take place:

The young person will be issued a clear verbal warning by an INVASION leader. If a young person is issued with 2 verbal warnings, on the 3rd they will be
removed from the group for a discussion about their behaviour. This will then be followed up with the Youth Pastor on the night and the youth will be unable to
attend INVASION for 1 week.

On returning after 1 week, if the young person's behaviour is still unacceptable and having been reminded and warned again, a conversation will be had with
the Youth Pastor and the youth will not be able to attend for 1 month and they must apologise on return in writing.
The young person's parents/guardian will be contacted by the Youth Pastor.

The final step if there is a serious breach of the agreement after the previous warnings have been issued will be the exclusion of the young person from
INVASION permanently until their new school year or equivalent. The young person's parents/guardian will be contacted by the Youth Pastor.

If behaviour on the night is unacceptable, parents will be contacted to come and pick their child up. This will be arranged by a designated leader, regardless if
the youth stays on site to wait or not, the consequences above still stand.

INVASION is built on a foundation of respect and honour, and we believe in honouring the youth that attend INVASION on a regular basis.

Monthly and Bi-annually, we have an opportunity to honour youth who have been exceptional and their behaviour deserves praise. The INVASION leadership
team will nominate youth who have been seen to 'rise high', and 'set the example'.
During a main meeting, a youth will be honoured publically in front of their peers and receive a reward for their behaviour.
Youth who have received formal warnings will be exempt from nominations until their behaviour improves (6 months since formal warning)

If any damage occurs to any property, be it the building or its resource, no matter who owns it, said young person who damaged the property will be
responsible for its replacement or the cost to fix it. Invoices will be sent to the parent/guardian of the young person, who will be asked to pay for the damage if
their child is financially unable.
INVASION understands that some accidents happen resulting in accidental damage, however intentional and thoughtless damage to property and resource is
unacceptable and consequences must be incurred. Any deliberate vandalism will result in permanent exclusion from INVASION with no written or verbal
warning and police involvement may be necessary.

Safety is our primary concern when a young person is in our care. Every child is registered as they enter INVASION so that we are clear who and how many
young people are onsite, especially in case of an emergency.
We will do everything reasonable to keep the young person at INVASION but sometimes teenagers make their own minds up and wish to leave. In the event
that a young person wishes to leave between 7.30-9.30PM, their parents will be notified.
