Ronalds Internet Cafe

I. Transmission Media

Ronald Internet Caf uses LAN Cable as transmission media to 15

computer units excluding the server. He uses LAN Cable as their transmission
media because it gives faster signal than the wireless transmission media. Also, it
has lesser expenses than the wireless. It is more convenient since all the signals
will be distributed and supplied properly to each computer unit through the help
of the LAN Cable and switch.

II. Network Size

The Ronalds Internet Caf consist of fifteen (15) computer units which is
still functioning properly. They put up 15 units because many civilians visits his
internet caf. He is also planning to add more units after the internet caf gets
more customer in the future. The units are being lined up and put on a computer
unit dividers which are painted green.

III. Management Method

The Ronalds Internet Caf uses the method of Server Base management
because he wants to spend lesser expense in buying Hard-disk drive and gives
faster internet speed. Its server contains three (3) Hard-Disk Drive for all the 15
computer unit. So all the 15 computer units are diskless which made it very
convenient.

IV. Topology

The topological structure of Ronalds network is STAR Topology. In this

configuration, every node connects to a central network device, like the hub,
switch, or computer. The central network device acts as a server and the 15
peripheral devices act as clients. It also has printer which is also manage by the
server. The service provider he uses is the PLDT Fibr Plan which gives 50Mbps
internet speed.
