PURPOSE OF JOB
To support the Directorate by providing support to Director Pakistan & Deputy Director Pakistan
To contribute to the development of BC Pakistan as a high performing country operation.

Team Structure
Executive Officers are also based in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad offices providing support to
the respective Area Directors, and HR

ACCOUNTABILITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN DUTIES


To provide administrative support to Director Pakistan, Deputy Director and UKA colleagues in
Islamabad.
To act as liaison point for the British High Commission, including the High Commissioner and
Deputy High Commissioners private offices.
To oversee and organise travel arrangements, diary management and appointment scheduling,
arrangement of staff meetings and handling of inbound and outbound mail to support the
Country Director and Deputy Director Pakistan.
To provide support to BSS and Security team for risk assessment frameworks, travel clearance
approvals, international visitor lists.
To act as official log keeper as part of the national incident management team, and to support
the upkeep of key documents including business continuity plans, crisis management plans and
other critical documents.
To support the management of international visits to Pakistan co-ordinating with Country
Director, Directorate and SBU leads to develop and manage high quality visit programmes. (for
internal staff including Regional Director and Executive Board members and visits by external
stakeholders and partners) .
To support events and activities for the Directorate; including managing guest lists and
invitations, supporting logistical arrangements and ensuring British Council event management
standards are met.
To maintain and regularly update country database of key UK and Pakistan stakeholders.
To provide logistical support for senior leadership team meetings, regional team meetings and
teleconferences, and other national meetings as and when required, including the production of

official minutes as and when required.
To act as a focal point for communication with UKVI to support visa applications for stakeholders
travelling to the UK under the auspices of the British Council, including managing and improving
the visa support letter and application tracking process.
To organise and managing the logistics to support the national CAB-CAP process as log keeper
for the approval gateway all new projects and programmes in Pakistan.
To provide support to HR team as back as and when required.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The post holder will be working to manage the following key relationships:
Support to Director Pakistan, Deputy Director and UKA colleagues in Islamabad.
Coordination with Pakistan senior leadership team (SLT)
Provide support to HR and Business Support unit as and when needed
Liaise with Executive Officers in Lahore and Karachi and the HR Coordinator in Islamabad
