Admission Procedures for College of Law Applicants

Sillimans admission policy is based on 4 criteria:

Academic performance
Quality of the School the applicant comes from
Interview Results
Passing score of qualifying exam for Philippines Law School Admission Test (PhilSAT) and
College Entrance Exam

Admission Procedures

Transfer students are those who have done college work elsewhere and are seeking admission to
Silliman University for the first time. They include those who started college work at Silliman,
transferred to other schools and are now seeking re-admission. This category also covers
applicants to the College of Law, Medical School and the Graduate Programs.

Application should include:


Accomplished online registration form (read online enrollment
guidelines: http://my.su.edu.ph/enrollment)
Transfer credentials (honorable dismissal)
Informative copy of academic records signed by the Registrar of the previous school
Two letters of recommendation: one from the previous school and one from a prominent
member of the community
One passport size (2x2) copy of latest picture
Certified photocopy of birth certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar or NSO
Additional requirements for the College of Law:
o Photocopy of Transcript of Records
o Letter of Recommendation from the Dean
o Entrance Examination for Law School (Given by Testing Center)
These requirements should be submitted to the College of Law for
interview and examination schedule.
Note:
- Credits for work done from accredited institutions are accepted if the student obtained
the minimum average grade required
- Advanced credits will be accepted on passing a validating examination covering English,
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Logic.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a citizen of the Philippines;


Must be a graduate of 4-years bachelors degrees, or its equivalent, from duly recognized
higher education institutions in the Philippines;
Must passed the Philippine Law School Admission Test (PhilSAT);
Must passed the college admission entrance exam;
Must passed the entrance interview.
