TITLE: Philippine National Concert Hall: An analysis of Neural Network in Acoustic Design and
Culturally Sensitive Approach towards Revitalization of Philippine Classical Music Industry.
The design of existing concert halls in the Philippines is too old and outdated compare to the
concert halls of nearby Asian countries. The concert halls need a lot of physical improvement,
architecturally and acoustically. Nowadays, most concerts are performed in sports complexes or
arena which have poor acoustic design and architecturally were not designed for concerts. Clearly,
there is a problem with regards to properly acoustically designed facilities where musicians can
perform well and audience can enjoy good quality of music.
House Bill No. 4218 Is an act providing for the promotion, protection and development of the

music, the dominance of foreign music, piracy, weak enforcement of the equity program, the shif

This calls for an important solution
The use of Neural network analysis of concert hall acoustics is undertaken which relates the
acoustic quality of halls, some of it were judged by conductors and musicians, to ten hall
parameters; volume, surface area, number of seats, length, width, height, rake angle of
seats, a surface diffusion index, stage height and extent of stage shell/enclosure etc. and
many considerations for efficient acoustical design.
