Application/Implementation of Industrial Control

Equipment

1. Switch
a. Manual Switch
Manual switches are hand-controlled switches, examples of applications such
as electrical circuit at home.

b. Mechanical switch
Examples of use as in magic com is the Temperature Switch switch.

Figure 2 Temperature Switch

Temperature or thermostat switches are used to sense temperature changes.
Although there are several types, all run with a certain ambient temperature
change. The temperature switch opens or closes when the specified temperature
is reached. Industrial uses for this equipment include maintaining the desired
temperature range from air, gas, liquids or solids.
2. Sensors and Tranducers
a. Proximity sensor is a sensor or switch that detects a target (metal type) with no
physical contact. An example of this is the use of metal detectors at the airport.

b. Light Sensor

Figure 4 Luxmeter
Light sensor applications can be used to measure the lighting level of a room.
How it works, light catching sensor. The light energy that illuminates photocells
is passed by photocells into electric current.
c. Preasure Sensor
Pressure Sensor is a sensor to measure the pressure of a substance. Example of
the application is on the liquid height gauge.

Figure 5 Pressure Sensor

Changes in pressure on the sac cause a change in the coil's core position thus
causing a change of magnetic induction on the coil. The Kumar any used is the
CT coil (centre tap), so if the intimate is shifting then the inductance on one of
the coils increases as the inductance of the other coil decreases. Then the signal
modifier serves to change the magnetic inductance that arises on the coil into a
comparable voltage.
d. Ultrasonic Sensor
Example of ultrasonic sensor application is to know the existence of a
submarine that is above the water surface.

Figure 6 Detect the existence of a submarine

Ultrasonic sensor work is as follows:
The signal is transmitted by the ultrasonic transmitter with a certain
frequency and with a certain duration of time. The signal is frequency above
20kHz. To measure the distance of the object (proximity sensor), the
frequency commonly used is 40kHz.
The emitted signal will propagate as sound waves at a speed of about 340
m. When striking an object, then the signal will be reflected by the object.
After the reflected wave reaches the receiver, the signal will be processed
to calculate the distance of the object.
e. Transducer in ultrasound tool
The transducer is an ultrasound component attached to the body part to be
examined such as the abdominal wall or the wall of the large bowel shaft. In
the transducer, there are crystals that are used to capture the reflection of waves
that are transmitted by the transducer. The received wave is still in the
waveform of the reflection so that the function of the crystal is to convert the
wave into an electronic wave that can be read computer so that can be translated
in the form of images.
