The user could select the source version, which file types, which folders for migration to the new
version. Note that its possible to select also another folder as source version from which you can
transfer the settings.
2. After the possible migrate step, another procedure checks if any update exists for the
current version. If there is an update, the procedure will ask if it can install. By default, this
operation will be repeated every 15 days. The user can change the time laps e, between an
update check and the next , by setting a CIVIL Design variable (see 4.10). If the variable
value is imposed 0, the procedure of update check will be disabled. For a more detailed
description of the update procedure, see 4.15.
3. After the CAD opening, select the only item available on the CIVIL Design menu
Initialization. With this command some of the CIVIL Design layers and line types will
automatically be created, and the menu items provided by the software solution you have
purchased will be made available.
The active environment is by default the Global object Plan. To work on a different kind of object
(Profiles, Sections) the chosen object must be selected and made active.
You can access the sub-menus described in the following chapters, from the main menu.
The arrow next to a drop-down menu item indicates that there is a sub-menu; sub-
menus are extensively treated in the following chapters.

This command opens a dialogue which warns the user to shut down Autocad to carry out the update.
Once Autocad is shut down the update will start: a progress bar will show you the update progress.
When the update is completed, the system will inform you by a notification.
The file "restore_info.txt" contains all the info required to the restoration, therefore
the user must be careful not to manually cancel it.
