About Time: The Yoruba 4 day Week and Death (Ik) and the Lunar Month.

Teaching given by Baba Oddw the July 6, 2015, during the Festival of gngn in "Egb dn OLFIN".

Question: Is it true that the Earth has a second offsets? And if true, how humans have intervened in this?
Baba Oddw Answering:
So it is. There is something called the Leap Year, that serves to compensate for all the time that the Earth is shifted
(phase displacement). This is because certain frequencies, under which is mired time.
Has this always been the case?
In ancient times when humans lived according to the position of the Earth, time was accurate. Today that affected the
frequency of time; the time is shifted according to the cyclic motion of the Earth.
A sister asks: Father Oddw, That frequency who gave it to Time? Was it us, the way of life we have led?
Baba Oddw: From the emergence and use of the Gregorian calendar, this started 2015 years ago.

Awo Ifalenu note: What emerged 2015 years ago? The Christian Era, a calendar count calculated based on the birth of
Jesus the Christ. There is no zero year, is year 1 AD (AD) and is 1 BC (before Christ).

Baba Will changing that Calendar and the use of that calendar will change that?
What calendar is the one we must follow in the Yoruba tradition?
Oddw ask: How the Yoruba calendar is based?
Awo Ifalenu answer: They have a spiritual or religious Week of 4 days. 4 days for 7 weeks gives 28 days, equivalent to the
Lunar month.
Baba Oddw: Is a calendar based on the phases of the moon
Awo Ifalenu asks: Father (Oddw), if its a lunar calendar, what is the correct calendar? The 7 weeks of 4 days or the
known calendar of the Moon of 4 Weeks of 7 days corresponds to seven days?
Baba Oddw: How many days in the calendar? 28 days
7 weeks of 4 days, or 7 periods of 4 days each, 28 the days of the Lunar month.
Baba Oddw: How many phases does the moon has? 4 phases of 7 days each.
Baba Oddw question: Why use the Yoruba periods of 4 days or weeks rather than seven days?
Oddw: Because they use other lunar phases, the Lunar phases that they use are smaller; the cusps of the Moon's are
measured differently. You measure it according to the changes of the moon (4 Moon Phases of 7 days each, consist of a
New Moon, a Crescent Moon, a Full Moon and a Waning Moon). You do not take into account the intermediate phases
(of the MOON).
Awo Ifalenu question: Should the calendar begin with the New Moon?
Baba Oddw: Yes, you must start with the new moon. You have to Measure 7 periods of four days each, and thus you
will discover the phase cusp periods used by the Yoruba.
Awo Ifalenu: currently they follow it?
Oddw: Yes. The Yoruba year ends in June.
Awo Ifalenu: The Sign or OD of If of the Yoruba Year celebrated by Yoruba Traditional practitioner in June, it ends the
year and begins its new year on June, which would related to it to the Summer Solstice. So what should we follow?
Baba Oddw: How many seasons or stations exist in Africa? They use 2 stations or 2 Seasons, different from those
used by Westerners, two long seasons. Rain Season and Absence of Rain Season (not based on the 2 solstices). They are
based on periods of Fertility of the land and not on the Solstices. When there is rain is a fertile period, when there no
rain is an infertile period.
Awo Ifalenu: If is not based on the solstices, how is calculated?
Baba Oddw: Is Calculated based on lunar phases, is the way they know when they are to begin the Rain Showers.
They measure the approchement between the Moon and Earth and thus measure their calendar. It is a more accurate
calendar. Your year is composed of 365 days, except for the leap year that is every four years, that leap year is of 366
days.
Oddw: What is the most accurate way to calculate the time?
Awo Ifalenu: With the Moon.
Baba Oddw: They used it that way, with the moon. They used Phases of the Moon in smaller cycles based on certain
Lunar cusps.
Awo Ifalenu: Each of these cycles of 4 days weeks has particular energy ruling it?
Baba Oddw: In the Gregorian calendar they have to add one day every four years to compensate for the lag time that
exists, because it is not accurate. In the Yoruba calendar that does not exist.
Every day of the Gregorian calendar are not complete, the day is 23 hours and some minutes and not 24 hours.
And the Yoruba Calendar? This calendar is based in the position of the sun and moon.
Oddw: archaically, How you know when is Noon?
When the Sun is in the Zenith, the highest point on the sky.
Baba Oddw: How to know when is Midnight in the ancient method?
Is logical, the moon is always there in the sky. Is Not that they dont see it.
Oddw: When is the time of the New Moon? The New Moon is understood when it is not irradiated by sunlight, which
is what makes it stop shining, however the Moon is present there in the night sky, and may be visible in dark places, you
can look at a new moon even with the absence of light, lighted only by the stars you can overlook the Moon. Now there
is an excess of lighting at night (light contamination).
Oddw: How to know when its midnight?
When the Moon is at the highest point on the sky.
So in that way the offset of time is avoided, because you are calculating the time by the movement of the stars.
Time is Relative according to the amount of Mass from which you find yourself nearby.
Awo Ifalenu: So Time changes?
Oddw: Yes, Time goes slower if you are next to a pyramid or some colossal monument (mountain), time passes
slower when you are in a place with a very large volume.
Awo Ifalenu: On what basis?

Oddw: Is based to collate that Time is a dimension. Time is a dimension, which is why it is told that Time is Relative. If
you find yourself in a place with a lot of volume, time will pass more slowly than if you're not in that situation.
If you are on a mountain, time is slower. So the external clock as well as the inner biological clock goes slower. The places
that have too much volume generated a change in the dimension of time, which is why even when clocks are
synchronized at the same time, if one of the people is next to something with a large volume of mass, time will pass
slower, and even if they are synchronized, the Time is offset. Based on that knowledge its easy to do TIME traveling
through time.
Awo Ifalenu: Back in time and forward in time or the future?
Oddw: YES.
Awo Ifalenu: You can physically do that?
Oddw: Yes.
Awo Ifalenu: But that would have to be in a specific place or any special?
Oddw: Anywhere. Ask the "Watchmaker" (Tata G).
A sister ask: Time only rules here on Earth?
Oddw: Time is the Fourth Dimension according to Modern Physics
Oddw: What are the other 3 dimensions?
1-Up-Down, 2-front and back and 3-Volume. Time is considered a dimension according to the phenomenon that occurs
when you are near objects of great dimension or volume. The Human Being realized that Time is a dimension because it
is a disturbance in space. If we talk more deeply, time cannot be measured.
Everything is ruled by Time. Time is a planisphere, the bases that Time is a dimension were proposed by Einstein, he put
some heavy spheres on a table, which had an effect on the planisphere, and showed how electromagnetism manifested.
Ask the Watchmaker (Tata G) so that he can explain more about it.
Awo Ifalenu: How these Lunar cycles of the moon of the Yoruba calendar affect us?
Baba Oddw: Each cusp of the Moon marks the arrival of Death (The Irnmol Ik) to Earth every four days, the fifth
day or first day of the next cycle, that is the day when offering to the Orishas are done to avoid Death (Ik) is a Yoruba
week, this happens seven times a month (Lunar Month). The Clockmaker (Tata G) will coordinate the use of this
knowledge in accordance with stations in the geographic area that you are, because here there are 4 seasons (Spring,
Summer, Autumn and Winter), which are different from the Yoruba land.
Awo Ifalenu: That will change according to geographical location? If I am in Greenland there will be different?
Baba Oddw: Yes. The cyclical situation is different,
Awo Ifalenu: The influence of the other planets affects us?
Baba Oddw: According to its cyclical appearance and relationship with the Earth, now known as Astrology.
Awo Ifalenu: How many planets are in the solar system that we know?
Baba Oddw: Not counting Pluto, there are 4 planets more.
They are small planets, and Pluto no longer fall under the label used by humans to call them planets (but they are
planets of this Solar System). They are a total of 13 planets.
"Alf se gbogbo a ni" May the Peace be with you all. (Blessing of Oddw)
