Different types of Amplifiers

1. Audio Frequency Amplifiers - It is used to amplify the audio signals that passes through it. Its input signal may only
measure a few hundred microwatts, but its output may reach up to thousands of watts. Some Applications for these
audio amplifiers include home audio systems, guitar amplifiers and more.

2.Radio Frequency Amplifiers - a tuned amplifier that amplifies high-frequency signals used in radio communications.
The frequency at which maximum gain occurs in an RF amplifier is made variable by changing the inductance or
capacitance of the tuned circuit. RF amplifiers are used in electromagnetic testing, communication testing and medical
diagnostics.

3. Video Amplifiers - it allows a video signal to be filtered and displayed with a higher resolution. Signal quality is
improved and also they can handle sources of video input. Some video amplifiers can simultaneously filter video signals
from TVs, security cameras and DVRs by processing the signals at higher speeds, the clarity of the video image is
enhanced. Video amplifiers are used to improve the quality and resolution of video signals from TVs, security cameras
and more.

4.Low-noise amplifier(LNA) - it is used to amplify a very low power signal without significantly degrading its signal-to-
noise ratio. An amplifier increases the power of both the signal and the noise present at its input. These amplifiers are
designed to minimize additional noise. LNAs are used in various applications such as cellular and pc handsets, wireless
LANs, GPS receivers, and wireless data. LNAs are also used in satellite communication systems, where the ground station
receiving antenna will connect to a low noise amplifier. These amplifiers are being used due to the weakness of the
signal being received.
