This lesson plan is designed to address all ability levels, multigenerational, cultural, diversity, special needs, learning
styles, small groups, large groups, or individuals in any setting (Portugal, 2017). Standards and performance indicators
helping individuals understand health and wellness prevention are addressed throughout this lesson plan (CDC, 2013a;
CDC, 2013b; CDC, 2012). In addition, learners will compare and contrast their own diet choices with those that can either
prevent and cure cancer or further the growth of cancer. Furthermore, individuals should be provided time to compare and
contrast traditional allopathic medicine remedies they have grown accustomed to such as chemotherapy and radiation
with the information they learn from these 3-part workshop lesson plans. All lesson plans incorporate media, technology,
and cultural dietary habits (CDC, 2013a; CDC, 2013b; CDC, 2012). Q & A time should be reserved for compare and
contrast of ideas, concepts, remedies, and theories presented. Finally, participants can share their health concerns and
experiences with personal, narrative accounts.

Differentiated Instructional Best Practices

Individuals can work independently at home or in a detox clinic setting, even a church group. Groups can work
together in a workshop format in the following manner cited below. These lesson plans are designed for free
access to individuals, patients, the public at large, detox clinics, auxiliary service providers, supervised by
naturopathy Drs and staff, and employees of any workplace health and wellness program.

Group Work
For group work, it is advised that peer round tables are set-up so that learners can discuss and share content they have
learned from the resources provided and the notes they are taking throughout the lesson. In addition, chart paper can be
provided in groups for learners to list concepts, ideas, remedies, and resources. Small groups can present their chart
work to the larger group to foster a sense of community, sharing, and teaching newly learned themes, ideas, and
resources (Brame & Biel, 2015; Weimer, 2013). Furthermore, white board can be provided for smaller groups to present
their findings to the larger group. Q & A time can be provided as well for small groups and the larger group (Brame &
Biel, 2015; Weimer, 2013). Videos and Internet research can be reviewed and analyzed in smaller groups. Then,
findings can be reported to the larger group with a white board presentation from each of the smaller groups. Tablets or

laptops can be used in smaller groups to review the videos or a larger Internet video projection can be used for all
groups to review the videos at the same time. But, the Internet articles / websites should be read by smaller groups
rather than one large projection screen for the entire room. Sharing takes place in smaller groups then sharing of
presentations and learned material to the larger group.
