Subject: La Reata Board Meeting Minutes

2. Call To Order:

The meeting was called to order at 3:00 PM. Present were C.M. Nutt, Joy Paxton,
Joy Dees and Cary Cobb.

3. Old Business:

a. June 2009 Minutes. were not available for approval.

b. Budget Report. Was given by Joy Dees, and The Board (BOD) discussed
overdue maintenance fees and a letter to be sent to property owners in arrears.

c. Update on internet service. The board is continuing dialog with various


companies in hopes of finding a solution to the problem of internet service.

d. New Welcome Booklet. C. M. Nutt presented the revised welcome booklet


(very nice) that has been put together by the welcome committee headed by
Ducky O’Donnell.

e. Bomar request. A discussion by the board on combining the two adjacent


Bomar properties so that only one maintenance fee would be owed. Possible
only with the owners expense of a replat.

f. Emergency Notification for LRR. C.M. Nutt asked if all had received the e-
mail. Discussion followed.

g. Burn ban letter. The board discussed the e-mail sent to everyone concerning
the burn ban and the extreme dryness of our properties.
New Business:

a. Unpaid POA dues for 2009. If delinquent property owners elect to “the
payments option” to pay for the amount in arrears, the BOD agreed to suspend
the further accrual of interest and penalties until total amount is paid.

b. Location and date for fall POA meeting. Consensuses among the BOD was
for the fall meeting to be on October 3, or October 24. The possible locations
were discussed but no location was determined.

c. Street clean up from mowers. Discussion about the alternatives of scheduling


and organizing a clean-up efforts. The consensuses was that property owners
should coordinate among themselves to clean up the streets where they live.

d. Letter to County Commissioner Clare Beckett. C.M. Nutt will draft a letter to
Ms. Beckett to criticize the mowing of the neighborhood streets. La Reata is
certainly large enough and pays their fair share of county taxes in order to
receive a proper mowing.

e. Higgins house update. After the estate sale at the Higgins house, it was
reported that the “front” home is now rented out.

f. Nature trail. Questions arose about the maintenance of the nature trail.
Particular problems are the erosion and ruts that have developed. Obvious
difficulties are dealing with sand, rock, and boundary limitations of the trail.

g. Welcome to Cary Cobb. Cary Cobb was welcomed to the BOD as the new
Secretary/Treasurer for The Board.

Adjournment:

The meeting was adjourned at 4:28 PM. The next meeting will is scheduled for
August 2, 2009 at Joy Paxton’s residence.
