EXERCISE NO. 1
ABSTRACT
This exercise aims to obtain the standard deviation and variance of the statistical analysis.
Furthermore, it shows how to get the regression equation with the use of multiple regression. The slope-
intercept form is used in this exercise to observe the relationships among the variables. With the analysis
of the regression, the significance of each predictor in relation to the response is determined. The whole
exercise is performed with the aid of Minitab.

METHODOLOGY
From the desktop, the minitab application is launched. A set of 20 random data for each of the
first two columns of the minitab worksheet is inputted as shown:

From there, go to the stat button on menu tab, another box will appear and from there select "stat" and
click on "regression" then fitted plot.
After doing so, a window will again appear. It would promt the user to select the predictor (X) and
response (Y). Do so accordingly.

The graph will then finally be shown as you click okay. It will also show the equation of the regression in
the form of y = mx + b
