In this book I will be presenting a system of using the tarot which relies primarily on the use of

numerology for determining which cards are used in a spread.

I discovered this method after many years of using the tarot intuitively. That is, I used the
images on the cards more as a trigger for my own imagination and intuitive ability and did not
limit myself to, the traditional definition of the cards.

That having been said, even though I approached tarot reading intuitively,. I still have had a long
fascination with numerology. After reading the tarot for many years, I began to notice that
certain cards were related in meaning to other cards in the deck. Many times this relationship
with the other cards has to do with the numbers of the cards themselves.

For instance The Magician card is number one in the major arcana of the tarot. It is related
numerologically to the number ten card The Wheel of Fortune (1 + 0 = 1) and with the
nineteenth card The Sun (1 + 9 = 10, 1 + 0 = 1) each of the cards reflect aspects of the other
cards as well as the cards of the minor arcana (aces and tens) while the minors are more for
advice on approaching the resolution of problems.

Continuing with our example of The Magician card. The Magician is represented by the number
one. Beginnings, leadership, extraversion, male energy, creation, and passion. The Wheel Of
Fortune is represented by the number ten. Ten being a number of fortune. One and Zero,
sometimes life gives and sometimes it takes. It reflects both the creative as well as destructive
power available to humans by our connection to both nature and the imaginal. The Sun is
numbered nineteen. Nine and One. Nine representing the completion of a cycle and One
representing the beginning of a cycle. The Sun shows us that our time is measured by cycles
and that those cycles are predictable and we can use this knowledge to move forward in life.
