Assalamalaikum WA RAHMATULLAHI WA BARAKATUHU.

We all do know the value and importance of uniting the Muslims

around the world and many leaders do talk about it at length,Islam

considers all Muslims to be one Ummah

Well you might think , and im sure many of you know the answer

to this question On what basis should Muslims stay united?

We all Muslims believe in the SHahddah LA ILLAHA ILLALLAH

,Muhammadur rasullah .

(we believe in one God i.e. Almighty Allah, we believe in one

Prophet i.e. Muhammad (Sallallaho Alaihe wa Aal-e-hee

Wasallam))

That and the Book of ALLAH . quran

Now that I have mentioned the Quran , We can see that Allah

has ordered US TO be TOGETHER. Form Surah al Imran ,

And hold fast altogether to the rope of Allaah and do not be

divided. And remember the favour of Allaah upon you, in that you

were once enemies to one another, but He joined your hearts

together, so that by His Grace you became brothers. [Soorah

Aal-lmraan 3:103]

Explanation

So Allaah ordered us that we should all cling together to His rope

and He forbade splitting, and informed us that it is the cause of

failure and the cause of decline of strength, and He ordered us to

persevere patiently.

So we can see that Splitting up is not from the Religion, since the

Religion commands us with unity and that we should be a single

Jamaaah and a single Ummah upon the aqeedah (belief) of

Tawheed and upon following the Messenger sallallaahu aloyhi

wa sallam.

Our Religion orders that we are a single Jamaaah and the

Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam said: The Believer to the

Believer is like a building, one part supporting the other.3

Related by al-Bukhaaree (no.481) and Muslim (no.2585), from

Abu Hurayrah radiallaahu anhu.

And he sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam also said: The example of

the Believers with respect to their mutual love, mercy and

affection is like the example of a single body.4 Related by al-

Bukhaaree (no.6011) and Muslim (no.2586), from an-Numaan ibn

Basheer radiallaahu anhu.

And it is known that a building and a body are a single cohesive

thing, not disunited and fragmented since if a building splits then

it will collapse; and likewise a body, if it splits, then life will be lost.

Secondly the idea of Brotherhood, where Muslims are nothing but

brothers. Islam redefined brotherhood in a new and profound

manner by changing the relationship from one based on personal

interest or mutual activity to a permanent bond based on belief

and acceptance of Islam.

Allah subhan wa taala revealed in Surah Al hujjurat

The believers are nothing else than brothers. So make

reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may

receive mercy. [Al-Hujjurat, 49:10]

One of the famous hadith of the prophet (P.B.U.H) SAID None of

you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for

himself. [Bukhari & Muslim]

We have the example of the Muhajireen and ansrs from the past

where He paired up them up , who were strangers to each other

prior to this. The two groups understood and accepted the

responsibilities that came with this pairing, leading to unique acts,

such as sharing wealth and other brotherly deeds, which helped

ease the difficulties facing the Muhajireen who left everything

behind in Makkah.
He (SAW) WANTED THE Muslims to be together. In addition to

this, he purified the souls of his people of grudges and hatred;

there was no room for aggression or injustice, no room for

pride or insults, but rather brotherhood, love and equality

because they were of one origin, and there was no privilege of

an Arab over a non-Arab except through piousness.

Thirdly, is the idea that there was always difference of opinion.

Since the start of I dont knw whennn, but point here WE ALL

VALLUE OUR Islamic BELIEFS AND STAY FIRM UPON AND

Practice Islam. But Religious groups and sects claim that they are

killing or declaring Muslims from othr sects as KAFIR, MUSHRIK,

BIDATEE, etc. in order to please Allah. Is this How unity could be

formed

During Allahs Messenger (Peace be upon him) time whenever

Muslims were divided on issues, Allahs Messenger (Peace be

upon him) used to bring them together. All the Companions (May
Allah be pleased with them) used to accept his final decision from

their hearts. For example, after the battle of Hunain, the

hypocrites among Muslims tried to divide the Muhajir and Ansaar

on the issue of distribution of GHANEEMAH( the spoils aftr war) .

Muslims were very close to fight among themselves. Allahs

Messenger was informed about the situation. He came and talked

to them, and brought them together. The division disappeared.

Similarly , our prophets treatment tomwards non muslims. In an

authentic tradition, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon

him)is reported to have said: Whenever you see a funeral

procession, stand up till the procession goes ahead of you.

[1]SO One day a funeral procession passed in front of him

and he stood up. When he was told that it was the coffin of

a Jew, he said, "Is it not a living being (soul)?" Also,

Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) used to visit non-

Muslims who were sick. Hence, the Prophet (Peace be

upon him)visited Abu Talib in his sickness, and he also

visited a sick Jewish boy. [2] Reported by Al-Bukhari (no.

1356)

We should observe good treatments towards muslims of

other sects and non muslims

The teachings of Muhammad (Peace be upon him)left an

important principle, i.e. a Muslim treats all people well.

Noble manners are equal with every one; the Muslim and

the non-Muslim. Coexistence, understanding, and co-

operation among nations and people are greatly needed by

humanity. So, Muhammad (Peace be upon him) ordered

mercy in his message, and included every aspect of it as

well as all forms of good treatment.

Also in another account , when the delegation of Najran,

who were Christians, came to Muhammad (Peace be upon

him)in Medina, they entered his mosque in the afternoon,

and it was the time for their prayer. So, they started to pray
in his mosque and the Muslims wanted to stop them but the

Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: Let them pray.

Again the idea of being patient and tolerant of each other,

regardless..of any reliegion sect ,, and this is one of our

identifications of being A muslim JazahALLAH khairon for

listening, And now our brother Abid Farhan will discuss

current events regarding our Ummah.
