I. Types of orders.

a) Content of the paper is crucial. The most important requirement is to follow all order
instructions.
- If there are any inconsistencies in the order description, it is necessary to notify the
TL asap.
- If clarifications from the Client are needed, please let your TL know. It also concerns
necessary textbooks, course readings, and any other resources relevant to the order.
- If personal information of the Client is necessary for completing the order, please ask
for it. Never write offensive / unbelievable stories.
- Examples have to be either international, or specific to the Clients country.
b) Order types:
- Writing (1 page = 300 words +/- 10 %)
- Proofreading (correcting grammar / lexical mistakes)
- Editing = proofreading + writing + re-structuring of the paper (approximately half of
the content has to be revised)
- Quiz / Exams are usually completed on the Clients dashboard or via Skype.
c) It is recommended to include a proper thesis statement in every essay (the last sentence of
the introduction). It should be an arguable concise statement that highlights the main idea
of the essay. Please, note that This paper discusses, in this paper we will talk about
etc. are not acceptable, as a thesis is supposed to be an argument. Roadmap of the essay
is highly appreciated (it outlines the structure of the essay by presenting main points that
support the thesis and are discussed in the body paragraphs).
d) The paper has appropriate structure. It depends on the order type
1) Essay
- Introduction, Main Body and Conclusion are easy to identify;
- Intro / Conclusion = 10 % of the word count
- Each body paragraph has a topic sentence, which supports the thesis and introduces
the general idea of a paragraph. As a rule, one paragraph explores one idea.
- Every paragraph has to be directly connected to the topic. No digressing and generic
content.
- Conclusion restates thesis and summarizes all the arguments discussed in the body
paragraphs. New thoughts are never introduced in the conclusion.
- To improve the papers readability, it is necessary to divide the paper into sections
(multiple-page orders).
- If a certain type of essay is required and you are not familiar with the structure, please
Google it (e.g. argumentative essay, persuasive, cause & effect etc.)
- Usually, it is required to analyze something in an essay. Therefore, unless specified
otherwise, an essay cannot be devoted to retelling the plot of a work of literature.
2) Annotated bibliography: one reviewed item usually requires 150 words. Structure:
full bibliographic description of the item as a heading, and then 150 words of
summary / review / usefulness for the research.
3) Article review: summary of the article is a small part of this assignment, it is
necessary to analyze the article, indicating strengths / weaknesses, credibility of the
source, limitations, your opinion etc.
4) Presentation has to be
- visually appealing (good background, font and pictures / diagrams)
- readable and not overloaded with text (usually up to 5 main points)
- the content of the slide is explained in speaker notes in full sentences
- title slide and references are not included in overall slide count
5) Reports usually have subheadings (e.g. Executive Summary, Background, Main
body, Conclusion).
6) Literature review is a short summary & critical evaluation of academic sources. It is a
coherent paper, where all sources are connected.
7) Memo structure: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/590/02/
8) Research proposal usually contains Introduction (Background), research question(s)
short Literature Review, Methodology, Conclusion.
9) Dashboard discussion is usually around 150 words and requires a reference list.
e) The paper is written in appropriate language, free of grammar and proofreading issues.
- The structure of the English sentence is observed. Sentences are neither too short (up
to 10 words), nor too long (more than 30 words).
- No contractions
- No informal / slang words / phrasal verbs
- Paper should not be overloaded with introductory phrases.
f) In-text citations & reference list.
- Any information that is not common knowledge has to be referenced. Absence of in-
text citations and references is considered plagiarism.
- Direct citations cannot exceed 10 % of the word count.
- Every paragraph cannot end with a citation. It is necessary to analyze citations.
- Reference list & in-text citations are formatted according to the guidelines.
- Sources have to be credible (peer-reviewed) and published within the last 5 years
from English native speakers countries.
- Wikipedia, SlideShare, blogs etc. are unacceptable. No plagiarism (direct, indirect,
internal)
- It is unacceptable to copy form the sample papers attached by the Client.
- Citations:
It is necessary to follow format requirements.
Direct quotations always require indication of a page number.
Images are always referenced.
If an online source does not have pages, it might be useful to indicate the number
of the paragraph.
Presentations (course materials) might be referenced by indicating slide numbers.
Videos / movies might be referenced by indicating minutes when the quotation
appeared in the file.
